•* MISS WANETA ROUTT RECENTLY MARRIED Miss Waneta Routt, daughter of Mr. and Mia. Jeff Rauch of Decatur, was married to Richard W. Gordon. son of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Gordon of South Bend October 29 at 2 o’clock in the Union Chapel parsonage. The Rev. Lawrence Norris officiated. i Attending the bride as maid of . honor was Mrs. Bytord Smith mid the best man was Ralph Gordon. The bride was attired in a navy blue dress with pink accessories and a white orchid corsage. The maid of honor wore a gray and red suit with black accessories and a corsage of red roses. A supper for the immediate family was held following the ceremony. / The bride is employed at the Central Soya Co. and bridegroom 1h employed by Sears and Roebuck in Fort Wayne. Woman Red Agent Is Jailed By FBI Martha Stone Is Taken In Custody .’-NEW YORK (INS) — Martha Stone, 44, who allegedly renounced her family to become underground , leader of Communist conspirators in New Jersey, has been jailed 1 1 ' ‘ — —
by the FBI. She was to be arraigned today before a U. S.- commissioner on charges pf teaching and advocating the violent overthrow of the government. Then was to be taken to New Haven, Conn., where she and seven alleged Connecticut Communist leaders were indicted last June 17 by federal grand jury. Penalties she faces include a fine of SIO,OOO and 10-year Imprisonment, or both. FBI agents seised her late Mon-
day as she celebrated her 44th birthday in a Bronx restaurant. The New York-born brunet assartedly deserted her husband Einll Asher, and six-year-old sou in the summer of 1951 to operate in the Red underground. On Nov,. 1. 1951 her 'son was injured by un auto. Despite this she did not venture near her former home in Newark, N. J. Her father, Julius Stoue, died in Brooklyn on the same day but she did not go to his home or attend the funeral service and burial.
