JUDGE of Indiana Appellate Court SEVERIN H. SCHURGER is a native and life-long resident of Adams County. He was educated in the local schools and the Indiana University School of Law. Married, he resides in Decatur and is the father of four children. He is a member of the St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Decatur, a Past Grand Knight of the Decatur Knights of Columbus, a member and former trustee of the Adams Post No. 43 American Legion, Decatur, a member and immediate past Judge Advocate of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Elks, Moose Lodges and the American Bar Asso. He holds a reserve commission in the Judge Advocate General’s Corps. As a former prosecuting attorney and several times a special judge in Adams County and former President of the Indiana Prosecuting Attorneys’ Association, he is well equipped to be the first candidate for several years •, from Adams County on a State ticket to which he was nominated without opposition. JUDGE of ADAMS CIRCUIT COURT JUDGE MYLES F. PARRISH was born and raised in Decatur and from the Decatur High School. He is married and the father of one son. He is a graduate of Indiana University with an A. B. Degree, the Indiana University School of Law- with a Doctor of Jurisprudence Degree and the F. B. I. Academy. A former F. 8.1. agent and former prosecuting attorney, he is a veteran of World War 11. He is a member of the Methodist Church, American Legion, Indiana Judges Association and the National Council of Juvenile Court Judges. Elected as the youngest circuit court judge in Indiana, he has earned the respect of the legal profession. t JOINT STATE SENATOR ’ Adams, Wells and Blackford Counties VON A. EICHHORN was born in Wells County where he received most of his education. He now resides in Uniondale, is married and the father of three children. Senator Eichhorn operates a retail electrical and plumbing business. As a member of the Indiana State Senate he has served on the Educational, Social Security, Public Safety, Judiciary A, Natural Resources and Conservation, Agricultural, Labor, and Insurance Committees, and the Indiana School Study, State Office Building, Traffic Safety, Legislative Advisory, Toll Road Investigating and Mental Health Investigating Commissions. KRUSE, successful Washington Township farmer, owning and operating 160 acres, formerly employed by the General Electric Company in Fort Wayne, Indiana and at one time owner of a small electrical contracting firm. Married and the father of one son, he was educated in Allen County and has resided in Adams County for 24 years. A member of the St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus and Moose Lodges. He served three years in the Marine Corps and two years in the army. This wide background in agriculture, labor and business affairs gives him a practical approach to state legislation which would benefit all elements of Adams County. --

He is larried and the father of six children and is a lember of the First Methodist Church of Decaur. Now employed at the Uhrick Brothers Appliance Store, he has had experience in the adminstration of a public office, having served four ears as treasurer of Adams County. His experence in business and in public affairs Will guarmtee a successful term as clerk.

He attended basic training for law enforcing officers at the Indiana State Police School at Bluffton and advanced training in a school at Fort Wayne taught by State Police and F. 8.1. officials. He is married and the father of four children, resides in Decatur and is a member of the American Legion, 8. P. O. Elks and Knights of Pythias lodges. He <erved two years in the U. S. Navy in World War »I, two years as Adams County Conservation Officer and two years as Adams County Deputy Sheriff, which office he now holds.

f .U>. ' - I \ Congressman from the Fourth District FRED W. GREENE resides on a small farm in Allen County and practices law in the City of Fort Wayne. He is married and is the father of one son. He was an aviator during World War I, is a member of Post 82 of the American Legion in Fort Wayne. He is a graduate with L.L.B. Degree of Tri-State College and has attended the New York University School of Finance and the Columbia University Law School. He has been active in economic and legal affairs in Northeastern, Indiana and has opposed monopoly, the "oil give-away’’ and is qualified to support the best interests of the farmer, worker and small business man. - . . •• . * 1 > Prosecuting Attorney of Adams County bEWIS LIJTZ SMITH was born in Decatur and educated in the Decatur schools. He is a graduate of the Indiana School of Law. Married, he is the father of two sons and resides on a farm south of Decatur. Mr. Smith is associated in the law firm of DeVoss, Smith and Macklin. He is a veteran of World War II and w’as recalled to active duty during the Korean conflict. He is a member of the Presbyterian Church, the Masonic, Elks and Moose lodges, the Indiana and American Bar Associations and is a director of-the Indiana Law Enforcement Institute. His experience as a special agent in the Counter Intelligence Corps in the Army and as prosecuting attorney for the past two years fit him for a second term. COUNTY ASSESSOR WALTER W. KOOK was educated in and is a native of S|, Mary’s township, spending the major portion of his life on the 132 acre farm on which he was born anff has owned for the last nine years. For 12 years he resided in Decatur. Married to Bessie Jackson the family has live children, all graduates of the Decatur High School. He has farmed, worked as a salesman and shipping clerk and is a retired General Electric Co. employee. He is a member and treasurer of the Decatur Calvary E. U. B. church and its Sunday School. His experience qualifies him to handle the office fairly, honestly, . promptly and efficiently. COUNTY COMMISSIONER Second District JOHN A. KINTZ is a native of Washington Township, is married and has 10 living children, including one boy in the Navy and one in the Marine reserves. He was ' educated in the Decatur Catholic Schools, is a member and former trustee of the St. Mary's Catholic Church, and a member of the Fourth Degree Knights of Columbus. He is a member of the Adams County Farm Bureau, past chairman of the Washington Township Farm Bureau, formerly a member of the Adams county extension committee and belongs to the Preble Township Fire Department. He owns 90 acres of land and operates 170, which will be farmed by his son, who gets out of the Navy next year, giving Mr. Kintz more time to serve the people.
COUNTY COMMISSIONER Third District HARLEY J. REEF, a residerit of Adams County for more than half a century owns and operates his own 80 acre farm in Jefferson Township. He is a member of the Lutheran Church. Married and the father of two girls. He knows the Adams County Road system having served as assistant county road superintendent for three years. * He is now serving his first three year term as county commissioner. Mr. Reef’s experience will be of great value in continuing Adams County’s*; record as being an economical and well managed local government.
