Close Contest Seen In New York State Democrats Hope To Take Over Control ALBANY, N. Y. (INS) — The 1954 election contest in New York state la regarded as the closest since 1030. Democrats hope to take over the four elective state offices—governor, lieutenant governor, attorney general and comptroller. They have held none of them since 1042. In addition, they hope to pick up from tour to seven congressional seats now held by Republicans. The GOP, campaigning on the 12-year administrative record of retiring governor Thomas B, Dewey, plus the “we have the experience and they don't” argument, hope to hold all state; offices. O. — The Seth Snider family near Bluffton, Ind., will be saluted Sunday on “Sunday on the Farm’’ as the midwest’s* “Farm Family of the Week.” The family, selected by the agricultural leaders of Wells county, will be honored at 1:30 p.m., EST, on the prpgram which originates over station WLW, Cincinnati.
