Automobile Output! At Two-Year Low Decline Caused By Model Changeovers DETROIT (INS) — Automotive News today reported U.S. vehicle production is expected to drop this week to its lowest level in two years. The trade newspaper estimated a turnout this week of only 47,120 ears and 13,250 trucks compared with last week's 63,859 cars and I Automotive News' safe the envisioned declines would be caused by I mpdel-changeover shutdowns at I Ford division, Lincoln - Mercury and Cadillac, and relatively low output at Chevrolet and Chrysler Corp, divisions just getting back into gear after changeovers. The widespread shutdowns, according to Automotive News, will cause October output to reach only 225,000 cars and 59,000 trucks, the lowest monthly totals since July, 1952, when a long steel strike virtually halted production. The trade paper added, however, that output should show great gains in November, when all makers will be back in operation. Teachers To Hear Illinois Professor INDJANAPOLJS (INS) — Dr. Karl R.
