MARILYN (Continued from Page One) the curvy actroaa aet the big city on its ear iby making a scene for “Seven Year Itch” on the street in (which her skirt wae -blown up over her head toy a blast ot artificially produced hot air. The scenes completed, they returned to Hollywood together and appeared happy. < / Rumors of strife in their love nest grow out of Joe’s failure to appear on the sets of Marilyn’s pictures, which she explained as merely his lack ot interest in movie making. Joe always has been obviously upset over the eenaational publicity his wife ha® received since she admitted that she posed nude for a calendar picture. BRITISH BACK (Continued from Page One) poses. Alluding to the signing in London .of the new agreement aligning West Germany with the free nations, the British diplomat said: “The western purpose is, of course, not to recreate German militarism but to enable Germany, in partnership with allies, ’o make a contribution to her own defense with safeguards and limitations mutually agreed and mutually accepted. .- ’"That seems to us to be essential if Germany is to take her rightful place in the comity of nations. The alternatives are completely unsatisfactory. Germany cannot be kept disarmed forever. “The kind of Germany which the Soviet government desires Is one In close alliance with the Soviet Union —a so - called ‘people’s democracy.’ Wbuld that mean a disarmed Germany? I must say that the Soviet attitude on this matter appears to me to be quite cynical.” Lloyd said that a reunited Germany must be achieved on the basis of free elections and that she must be accepted into the community of nations “if there is to be stability in Europe."
