Monmouth's Net Schedule Is Announced A complete 18-game schedule for the 1954-55 season of the sectional champion Monmouth Eagles was announced today by Loren Jones, principal, and Charles Holt, head coach. _; __J The Eagles, winners of the sectional title the past two seasons, will open their schedule Friday night, Nov. 5, meeting the Hartford Gorilais at Hartford. Their first home game will be Saturday, Nov. 13, against the Adams Central Greyhounds. All home games are scheduled to start at 8:15 p.m., with a second team game at 7 o’clock. The Eagles lost three members of the sectional champs by graduation. All three were regulars, Harry Myers, Dick Harvey and Dick Bultemeyer. Myers was one of the county’s leading icqrers for the past two seasons. Three changes have been made from last season s schedule. Dropped from the schedule are Ohio City, Petroleum and Pennville. Bucky Harris Is Signed As Tiger Manager DETROIT (INS) — Stanley R. (Bucky) Harris, released last week by Washington, today was signed to manage the Detroit Tigers, a team he directed from 19291933. Harris, who never got the Tigers higher than fifth, replaced Fred Hutchinscn, who quit Thursday when denied a two-year contract. Hutchinson is expected to go to Baltimore as coach under PaulRichards and assume field dlrec lion of the Orioles in 1956 when Richards settles solely on the general managership. Harris, now 58, has managed major league clubs for 27 of the last 30 years. He was called the boy manager" when he led Washington to pennants in 1924 and 1925. Since then he has managed Detroit, the Yankees and again the Nationals. Briggs said he selected Harris from a list of "six or seven” candidates because he was Impressed with Bucky’s ability to develop young players. Hutchinson, who brought the Tigers from last place in 1952 tc fifth place this season, announced: “We have started our rebuilding program and have progressed pretty tar. But it can’t be completed in one more year. Mrs. Girardot explained the importance of women in American politics, and stated that telephone committees by precinct committeO-women could still turn but many to be registered or transferred by next Monday, the deadline for voter’s registration.

After the business session, refreshments were served and Richard Lew ton, Democratic candidate for clerk of the circuit court; Walter Kpos, candidate for county assessor, and Merle Affolder, candidate for county sheriff, were introduced. Bomber Missing For 11 Years Is Found LOS ANGELES (INS) — The wreckage of a B-24 Liberator bomber missing with a crew of 12 tor 11 years has been found on San Miguel island, 55 miles west of Santa Barbara.
