The bride was adorned in a gown with a fitted chantilly lace bodice and a bouffant skirt of nylon tulle over satin. She wore a fingertip veil of nylon tulle fastened to a lace headpiece and carried a bouqilet of red and white roses. a .., ■Miss Velma Strahm was maidi of hotior and »he wore a ulle green dress with a matching headpiece. Attending the bridegroom as best man was Elroy Nursbaum, his twin brother, and the ushers were Earl Yoder, brother of the bride, Phillip Nussbaum, Jr., brother of the bridegroom, and Carl Nussbaum. A reception was held immediately following the ceremony with 140 guests present. Those serving were Miss Ruth Busse of Decatur, Miss B.irbara Haugk of Bem/e, Miss Norma Conrad of Decatur, Miss Phyllis Mattox of Monroe, and Mies Faye Haines had charge of the guest book and gifts. The bride a graduate of Adams Central high school and she is employed at Brotherhood Mutual Life Insurance Co. in Ft. Wayne. The bridegroom is employed at the Berne Witness Co. in Ijerne. After September 30 the couple will reside at 171 W. Main street in Berne. DECATUR GARDEN CLUB MEETS HERE TUESDAY The regular monthly meeting of the Decatur Garden club was held Tuesday afternoon at the home of Mrs. Roy Runyon. The business meeting, in charge of Mrs. William Kohls, opened with the club collect and garden verse rd the month. Plans were furthered for the litter-bug campaign, whidh is a state garden club project to keep trash and litter along the highway and in parks to a minimum. The Standard Oil Co. is cooperating by preparing to distribute to motorists, free paper bags to dispose of trash. It was decided to again sponsor the “Know Your Birds” canteat next spring for the grade school children from grades 1 to G. The date of the northeast district convention, to be held in Decatur, has been changed to October 26. This wiU be an all day meeting in charge of the two Decatur Garden clubs. Mrs. Stoner Lower gave a lesson on "Garden Warfare” dealing with insect pests in the garden, “loof prize' was awarded to Mrs. Fred McConnelL At the close of the social meeting, refreshments were served by the hcetesa, assisted by Mrs. ;x>wer. One guest, Mrs. Harold Owens, was present. The flower show school will be held October 11 and 12 at William H. Block Co. in Indianapolis. ADAMS CENTRAL PTA IN MEETING MONDAY The Adams Central P.T.A. held their September meeting in the Adams Central school gym Monday evening at 7:30. B. church held their mon-tiily meeting at the home of Mrs. Joe Hunter Tuesday night with Mins, dharlee Maloney assisting hostess. Mr®. The Dorcae circle of the Tirat Methodist church will have a meeting Thursday afternoon at 2 o’clock at the home of Mrs. W. P. Robinson on 'Madison street. Xi Alpha Xi and Delta Lambda chapters of Beta Sigma Phi will have a picnic at 6:30 o’clock Tuesday at Hanna-Nuttman park. The American Legion Auxiliarm Aduins unit 43 will have their social meeting and music program Friday night at 8 o’clock .at the Legion home. Mrs. Arthur Myers is the chairman and her committee will be in charge for the evening. The Delta Theta Tau sorority will have a business and social meeting Tuesday evening at the Elks home at 8 o’clock. The V. F. W. Ijadlee auxiliary had a business meeting Monday evening. Judge Parrish served as a special agent from 1941 until 1943 and then was given a military leave of absence. He resigned in 194 k to become Adams county prosecutor.
