ROSARY SOCIETY MEET MONDAY The 'Rosary Society had Its regular meeting at the K. of C.. hall (Monday evening. The meeting opened with prayer ami a busiiieiw meeting was conducted by vice-president, Mrs. Andrew .Miller. It was announced that a pilgrimage to the Shrine df the Holy Relic church at Maria Stein, 0., is planned for Octol'mr. The exact date is to he announced later. Drivers of the cars are to contact Mrs. Joseph Laurent. 'Hie business meeting closed with .prayer, after which a social hour was held. ANNUAL WELCOME WAGON CONVENTION PLANNED The eighth annual Indiana Welcome Wagon convention will take Nace Thursday and Friday, at the Van Orman Hotel in Fort Wayne. There will he a banquet Thursday evening to which all of the Indiana sponsors and their wives have .been invited. Mrs. Agnes Henderson of Indianapolis, the Indiana supervisor, •will be a guest on Wednesday on radio and TV. She will be interviewed on station WGL at 1:30 p. m. and on WKJG-TV on the "Editors Desk" program at 3:15. Among the national guests who will be present are Miss (Marjorie Stevens national sales director of the New York division, and" several supervisors fiiom other states. CORINTHIAN CLASB> MEETS MONDAY - - Corinthian class of the First • 'Christian church met last evening at the home of Mrs. James Kitchen. (Mrs. Harmon Kraft gave devotions and conducted the business meeting. Mrs. J. E. Anderson and Mrs. Mildred Keller were on the nominating committee and Mrs. .turner Darwaihter, Mrs. Homer/Rifffi and Mrs. Kraft will be on the year book committee. Mrs. Kraft was in charge of the entertainment and Mrs. William Teeple. Mrs. Darwachter, and Mrs. Kitchen won the contest prizes. Mrs. Kitchen, assisted by Mrs. Keller, served refreshments, "'he October meeting will be held at the home of Mrs. Darwachter. POTLUCK SUPPER HELD BY CHORUS The Adams County Hom» Demonstration chorus met at HannaNuttman park Monday night for their annual potluck supper. Mrs. Alva Lawson, president. had charge of the short business! meeting. letters were read, from A. P. Stewart. Commenting on the California tour. He congratulates all the ladies of tlhe state on the pleasing way they sang in the Hollywood Bowl. The following officers were elected, president, Mrs. Leland . Ray, Decatur; vice-president, Mrs. Sprunger, Berne; secretary, Mrs. Daniel Schwartz, Berne: assistant secretary, Mrs. .Niland Ochsenrider, Decatur; treasurer, Mrs. Gilbert Stucky, Berne. The next meeting will be held October 4, the place to lie announced later. The chorus will be-open for new members during October. The D. A. V. auxiliary will have a social meeting at the hall Thursday evening at 7:30 o’clock. The Pocohantas lodge will have a potluck supper Tuesday evening at the Red Men’s hall at 6:30 o’clock. The American Legion auxiliary unit 43 will hold a social meeting Friday evening at 8 o’clock at the American Legion home. The Pleasant Mills Methodist W_, S.. C.
