MRS. WALTER SOMMER / HOSTESS TO SORORITY Mrs. Walter Sommer was hostess to the Delta Lambda chapter of Beta igma Phi sorority Tuesday evening. Mrs. Fred Corah, president, conducted the business meeting. Mrs. Cletus Miller was elected treasurer. The chapter decided to send a delegate to the state convention at Evansville. Mrs. Jerome Keller, program chairman, presented the new program 'books to the members. The lesson was presented by Mrs. Jerome Keller, Mrs. Fred Fruchte, and Mrs. Corah. * The hostess was aeisted by Mrs. William Affolder in serving refreshments. •J . '. MONMOUTH P.T.A. COMMITTEE MEETS The Monmouth P.TA. executive committee met Thursday evening at the school with the president, Richard Harkkss, presiding over the meeting. All the chairmen reports were handed in and discussed and approved for the coming year’s activities. It was announced that the first meeting will be held October 12, at the school at 7:30 p.m. All Monmouth parents are cordially invited. FAMILY REUNION IS HELD HERE SUNDAY The Peterson family reunion was held at the Decatur Memorial park Sunday afternoon. A basket dinner was enjoyed with ice cream and coffee as refreshments. HOME DEMONSTRATION CLUB MEETS TUESDAY The Happy Home Makers home demonstration club met at the home of Mrs. Sheldon Wagley Tuesday evening. The meeting was opened by all repeating the club creed led by the president.
