The group enjoyed the film showing the activities of the 1954 Indiana Girls’ State held last June at Indiana University campus. Miss Kay Bormann and Marilyn Braun represented Unit 43 ahd presented their talks concerning their experiences at Girls’ /State at this meeting. / < Mrs. Gerald Strickler and her Girl Scout troop and the Junior auxiliary of Unit 43 were special guests at this meeting. Hospital volunteer workers at the Fort Wayne Veterans hospital were present at the installation ceremonies. They were Mrs. Helen Fisher of the/hospital committee; Mrs. Jean Springer, president of the Ossian unit; Mrs. Irma Kruse, Mrs. Rondat, Mrs. Elsie Logue. Mrs. Hope Richey, Mrs. Marie Moehring, and airs, Martha Goldsmith. Also present were Mrs. Louise Tibbets of New Haven, anil Mrs. Herbert Burdg. president of the Rerne unit; Mrs. Beverly Rusen, Mrs. Dorothy Netwsbaurn, —Mrs. Marcella Augsburger, Mrs. Opal Kiefer, and Mrs. Edith Swenney. all from Berne. Yeoman, former Monroe resident, who died Monday at Fort Wayne, will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the First Missionary church in Fort Wayne, the Rev. Cornelius Viet officiating. Two Youths Fined For Petty Larceny Two young men found that a jug of- 89-cent apple cider was rather expensive when they paid $lB apiece to Mayor John Doan as a fine after pleading’ guilty tp a charge of petty larceny.
