P. T. A. EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE MEETS The Monmouth P. T. A. executive committee met Thursday evening at the home qt Mr. and Mrs. Robert Colter with the president, Richard Harmless, presiding. Pinal plans were made for the activities of the coming year. The organization will follow the National Congress of Parent and Teachers action program for better homes, better schools and better communities. The monthly programs will also stress parent®’ education. Those present were Mr. and Mrs. Dallas Brown, Richard Lewton. Everett Singleton. The Adams County Home Demmonstration picnic will be-held Wednesday instead of Friday, Sept. 3, as stated in yeaterday’s paper. The event will take place at Berne at six-thirty o’clock. Each person i is to bring a covered dish, sandwiches and table service. The Friendship circle of the Missionary church enjoyed family night Monday with a weiner roast at Hanna-Nuttman park. ‘Games were also played. There were 24 people present and the Rev. H. J. Weldy gave the devotions. The Pleasant Grove W. M. A. will meet with Mrs. Alpha Barkley Thursday afternoon at one-thirty o’clock. After a regular meeting, the group will mend clothing for Kentucky mission. All ladies are asked to came prepared for sewing. The Sunny Circle Home Demon* stratlon club will meet at the Preble Recreation hall Tuesday evening at eight o'clock.
