MIBB NANCY FIELDS IS SATURDAY BRIDE The Rev, Robert W. Content officiated at the Saturday afternoon marriage of Miss Nancy Philena Fields, daughter of (Mrs. Rrillie Fields, of Decatur, and Herbert Lengerioh, son of Joe Lengerich, also of this city. The double-ring ceremony was road In the rectory of the St. Mary's Catholic church at four-for-ty-tive o'clock. The bride was lovely in a light blue dress detailed with a sweetheart neckline, short sleeves and a bouffant skirt trimmed with rhinestones and pearls. Mrs. Fields chose for her daughter's wedding a gray taffeta dress with white accessories and a corsage of violet gladioli. Eight guests were present at a dinner served at the Fairway restaurent following the ceremony. The bride is employed by Schaefer Co. inc. and the bridegroom is employed by Security Cartage Co. Demonstration clul> Tuesday evening. — The reading of the club creed opened the meeting. The group sang. "Dixie", led by Mrs. Dale Moses, who was accompanied on the piano by Mrs. Nevin Miller. During the business session a trip to Chicago Sept. 22 and 23 was discussed. The president, Mrs. Otto Spiegel, also announced that the A damn County Home Demonstration picnic will be held at Berne Friday, Sept. 3, at sixthirty o’clock. Each person is to bring a covered dish, sandwiches and table service. Lovely refreshments were served by the hostess at the close of the meeting. Assisting hostesses were Mrs. Mary Jane Runyon and Mrs. Mitry Merriman. DEDICATION SERVICES SCHEDULED FOR SUNDAY The Mount Victory United Brethren church will have a dedication service Sunday afternoon for the recently coihpleted remodeling project. .> \

An addition of twelve f««t •»’«* added to the south end of the building, which includes the choir loft and a Sunday school room. A classroom was added to thfe north end and new carpet wae laid on the platform, choir loft and the front of the church. The public is invited ,to attend the services, which will begin at two-thirty o’clock Bishop Lloyd Eby, of Huntington, will give the dedicatory sermon. SORORITY HOLDS PICNIC AND BUSINES MEETING •Mrs. James Newton, president of Delta Theta Tau sorority, reported on the convention at Chicago at the group’s recent meeting. Prior to the business session the group enjoyed a picnic. Miss Rosemary Spangler was chairman of the committee in charge of the event Aiding her were Miss Mary Catherine Spangler, (Mrs. Grant Bean and Mrs. Bernard Clark. The Ladies auxiliary of the Eagles lodge will hold initiation services and a birthday party at the ball Tuesday evening at eight o’clock. The Magley Ladies aid will meet all day Tuesday. Hostesses will be Mrs. Franklin Fruebhte and i.Mrs. Robert Kolter.

Juniors of American Legion auxiliary and their mothers, Legion home, 6 p.m. - LOCALS Mrs. Oscar OLson, of Chicago, 111., and children Peter, Stephen, and Martha Louise, are visiting here, for the week with Mrs. Olson’s ’ mother, Mrs. Will Schnepf. Cpl. Roger Schnepf, now stationed at Fort Sheridan, 111., is visiting here for tbe week. He will return to camp Sunday with Dr. C. William Freeby, who is now a lieutenent in the Navy, stationed at Great Lakes Naval Training Base, near Chicago. Mrs. Red McClintock of Indianapolis returned home yesterday .after a visit in Decatur with her mother Mrs. C. D. Teeple. Tbe condition of Mrs. Teeple, who recently underwent an eye operation is reported to be greatly improved. Mrs. Jane Compos of Decatur route 4, is listed among the patients at the Wells county hospital for treatment. High school teachers in Bluffton have all been notified that they will receive an increase in salaries of 8250. The Frederick Barkers of Convoy are asking a divorce after 53 years of married life.
