Yellow Jackets’ Grid Hopefuls Drill Daily To Prepare For Season

Dawaid for killing a raccoon out of season. The offense occurred at 12:80 a. tn. August 16, in Wabash township, when Billington's dogs treed the coon, allowing him to shoot it. The arrest was made by Jack Hurst, conservation officer for this area. Bowling Alleys To Be Opened Saturday <?arl Mies, owner and manager of .the i.Mies Recreation bowling alleys, announced today that the alleys will be opened (or the fall and winter season at 6 o’clock Saturday evening. Three Drivers Are Fined For Speeding Three fines were reported paid in justice of the peace court in Decatur Thursday including two speeding offenses on North Thirteenth street, and one in Preble. Herbert Grass, of New Bremen, Ohio, was fined $5 and costs for speeding 50 miles an hour on North 13th street at 7:45 p. tn. yesterday. Grass was arrested by the city police. Loris E. Neuensehwander, of Fort Wayne, arrested August 15 for speeding on 13th street, appeared and paid a fine of |1 and costs. Hugh iE. Spicer, of Stuttgart Ark., was arrested last night in Preble by state police for speeding 50 miles an hour through that town. Spicer was fined $1 and costs by justice of the peace Floyd Hunter. The alleys will be available for open bowling at all times until the start of the league season Tuesday, Sept. 7.
