Berne Legion Post Robbed Early Today Thieve* broke into the American Legion Poet 468 home at Berne sometime this morning, rarieackinr the building* and taking |l5O. iPost commander Bon Sweeney discovered the breakin at 7:16 a.m. today. The 'breakin sometime after 1:30 a m. when the building was closed for the night. - Bntry was gained through a window on the north side of the home. The 1150 was taken from monejr boxes and a caeh register. An investigation of the breakin and theft is being made by Berne police chief Karl Sprunger, deputy sheriff Merle Affolder and etate trooper Walter Schindler. Prayer Band Speaker The Rev. James Payton. Hicksville, 0., will be the principal speaker Sunday afternoon at 2 o’clock at the opening meeting of the second annual Bobo camp meeting. The Sunday afternoon event will be sponsored by Victory prayer band, with the Rev. James R. Meadows, founder of the group, presiding. Mr. and Mrs. Dwight Darr will have charge of the special music. The annual camp meeting then will continue services nightly until September 5. at 7:30 o’clock and Sunday afternoons at 2 o’clock. General Electric, CIO Sign Agreement The» General Electric Co., and the CIO International Union of Electrical Workers have signed a wage agreement, which has been in negotiation since last May. The IUE is bargaining agent for the majority of GE employes In Fort Wayne and represents an estimated JOO.OOO workers in .60 GE plants. The settlement consists of a wag.e increase of 2.68 percent averaging slightly more than 5 cents an hour and ranging from 4 to 8 cents and more an hour, plus improvements in holiday and vacation pay and other benefits, the company said. The UE. which represents workers in the Decatur plant, accepted the agreement last month.
