Dean, 62, of Indianapolis, remained in critical condition today from gunshot wounds suffered Saturday night. Police said Dean was shot by Dewey Wilson, 72, a roomer at hia house and paroled convict, who committed suicide as police closed in. on him. ' Dean underwent an operation in General hospital Saturday night for removal of a .22 caliber rifle bullet from his left side.
