Czechosolvakian Communists is another example of the criminal practices engaged in by Red governments. To lend an air of respectability to the kidnapping they accused the Americans of spying, a charge that our government emphatically denied. The soldiers, when abducted, were riding in a jeep along the Czech border. Our -government has refused to be a party to a “deal’’ by which the Reds would barter the freedom of the seven Americans for the forcible return of three Czech citizens who fled Communist tyranny. This behavior represents, as one American official put it, is a new low in conduct even for Communists. Yes, he would see Todd, certainly, though these were not his office hours. Could he get there all right or did he want .the doctor to come to the manse? Joan thought Todd could make it to the office, she told him. They would be right over. Hanging up the receiver, she turned to face Todd's mother, who had limped out from the kitchen in alarm to find out what was going on. Joan said quietly, “Todd isn’t feeling very w-cll, Mother Hunter. We re going to see the doctor." “Oh, my goodness! Racial Segregation In Schools Assailed Resolution Adopted By Methodist Men LAFAYETTE, Ind. (INS)—Racial segregation in public schools was 'denounced in a resolution adopted by 1.700 delegates from all parts of the notion — at the national conference of (Methodist into. The resolution cites Die recent United States supreme court decision outlawing aggregation and urged (Methodists tn 17 states and the Dietriot of Columbia, where segregation prevails, “to lend their active, mbral and vocal support in the implementation of this decision, thereby signifying our intention of applying the religion of Jesus Christ in all areas of our life.” Bishop Richard C. Raines of Indianapolis deplored moral decay, saying: . ’ * "The position of morals, especially personal morals has grown progressively weaker and less secure. More people are victims of the drink habit. An accelerating proportion of marriages result in failure. Juvenile delinquency is at all times high. Drug addiction has spread even in our high schools. The eex practices among the younger generation show that standards of sex behavior are, for large groups, almost non-existent. "We are naturally led to question whether there is not something wrong with a religion which does not result in nobler and more widespread personal and social morality. But the real solution* lies in acceptance of the teachings of Christ.” 4-H Adult Leaders To Meet Wednesday All adult 4-H club leaders of Adams county will meet in the pavilion at Lehman Park.
