Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Andrews are on a four week trip through the southern and eastern states. Youth Is Killed In Fall From Bicycle FORT WAYNB. Ind. (IMS) -T Sixteen-year-old Thomas Moulin who recently recovered from bulbar polio was killed Thursday when he fell from his bicycle near his Fort Wayne home. The youth was hospitalised with polio from Sept. 4. 1952 until two months ago when he was pronounced completely cured.
Worst Week Os Year In Polio Incidence Total Nearly Half Under 1953 Figure INDIANAPOLIS (INS) — Indians underwent its worst week of the year in the rate of polio attacks for the period ending July 3 but the total remained nearly half under the 1953 figure. —s, *Lake county with three new cases, raising the total to tour, led the week’s reporters. That increase plus the removal of one case previously -listed by Marion county, tied those two for the lead. One case each was reported last week by Floyd, LaPorte, Madison, Pike, Pulaski and Putnam counties. In each case it was the first reported forthese’eounties. The total for th* year to July 3 is 36 with 65 listed during the same period last year. Only the one death in two cases reported from Noble county has been entered for the year. Other counties are Allen I, Blackford 1, Clark 1. Deleware J.-Elk-hart 2, Hamilton 1, Huntington 1, Porter 3, 84. Joseph 2, Vermillion 2, Vigo 1 and Wayne 1. Ag Teachers Attend Purdue Conference Vocational agriculture teachers in city and county schools returned today from Purdue University, where they attended the 40th annual Indiana, vocational agriculture and veterans teachers conference. Decatur's ag-teacher, William Journay, was among the group. Others who attended the interesting four-day session were Fred Meier, Raymond Schanding, Eugene Sprnnger. Gordon Adamson. Martin Watson.
