Careful planning, however, will make the job more pleasant. Baking should he done following breakfast. Do all dishes at once while that fresh fruit pie bakea. One-dish-meals save dishwashing and eliminate much of the standing-over-a-hot stove routine. Broiler meals are quick and ' suitable for hot weather. All food can be prepared within 20 or 30 minutes if not sooner providing the right foods are planned for broiling. We shouldn’t limit ourselves to Steals of cold cuts and potato salad during the summertime. Include at least one hot food in every meal. Plan carefully and cooking need not he unpleasant—even on the hottest day of the year. I mentioned broiler meals for summer. They’re good anytime of the year. Farmers Receive z 2 Less For Products Nine Percent Drop In Month Os June LAFAYETTE, Ind. (INS) — Purdue agricultural economists reported today that Indiana farmers received nine per cent less for their products In June than in May. Buying power of Indiana farm products uso dropped hihe per cent during the same period. The combined index of Indiana farm product prices for June ’Was 252 as compared with 277 in May based on 1910-14 as 100. The June index was four per -cent below a year ago. Individual prices of' nearly all farm products dropped from May to June with hogs down 16 per cent the hardest hit. Cattle went down 11 per cent and turkeys and hay, fell nine per cent each. Hog-corn ratio was off 17 per cent to 14.8 from May to June tor the lowest level since April, 1853.! The ratio also was 10 per cent under the year-ago level.
