Del Flanagan Wins lOßound Decision DETROIT (INS) — Del Flanagan, second-ranging welterweight contender of St. Paul, Minn., won a unanimous 10-round decision Wednesday night over Ailio Gronik of Detroit in a nationally televised boxing bout. A small crowd of 1,574 fans paid 12,226.20 to see the fight in Olym■plaStadium. Gronik weighed 149%' pounds while Flanagan tipped the scales at 148%.

Junior Legion Team Defeats New Haven, 5-4 The Decatmr Junior American Legion liaseball team edged out New Haven, 6-4, at Worthman field in this city Wednesday evening. Decatur held a 4-1 lead after six innings of play but New Haven rallied to tie the ecore in the seventh with three runs on four hits and three Decatur errors. The Decatur lads bounced right back In the bottom of the seventh to score the winning run as Schimdt walked, Kelly was hit by a pitched ball and Steiner singled to drive in Schmidt. Gloy’s triple and a fly ball gave New Haven in the first inningoiii New Haven a run In the first inning and the visitors ware then held hitless until the seventh. Report India Drops Objection To Survey May Join Proposed Survey In Thailand UNITED NATIONS, N,Y. (INS) —A reliable UN source disclosed today that India had dropped her objections to sending neutral military observers to Thailand and It nominated would join the proposed UN survey of areas bordering Indo-China. The source pointed out that imminent collapse of the Geneva talks had dispelled Indian fears that security council discussion of Vietminh attacks on the three Indo - Chinese Associated States might wreck the parley. As a result, V. K. Krishna Menon, chief UN spokesman fo> India, is leaving Geneva for New York shortly. It is pointed out at the UN that should India join the “peace patrol” — which subsequently might be asHpd- to extend its survey from Thailand to Laos and Cambodia — the group's prestige and influence would be increased considerably in Sonthfeast Asfa eyes.
