Stricken By Heart Attack Here Today Henry Clark was stricken with a heart attack this morning at 7 o'clock on Eleventh street. The police and an ambulance were called to the scene of the attack. Clark was taken to the Adams county memorial hospital, where he was treated and Mrs. J. N. Thacker Is Named Secretary Mrs. J. N. Thacker of thia city, will be the conference secretary of missionary education at the annual summer assembly of the North Indiana conference of the Methodist church at Epworth Forest, Lake Webster. The assembly will convene June 20 and continue through to June 25. As a preliminary to the general sessions, the Wesleyan Guild will hold services Saturday and Sunday afternoon. The department of which Mrs. Thacker is secretary will be devoted to departmental clinics, workshops and general missions. This part of the program will be directed by IMre. Clare Knepple, Fort Wayne, conference president; Mrs. B. H. Franklin, Logansport, secretary of spiritual life; Mrs. Henry Rehm, Shipshewana, secretary of Christian social relations. Mrs. Thacker served several years as a missionary in Africa. Minor Auto Mishap Reported By State A minor accident on 13th street early thia morning was reported to the city police. A car driven by Joseph Loshe, of North 4th street, sideswiped a parked car owned by Richard Ogg, of 13th street. Damage to the Loshe car was estimated at >l9, and Ogg’s car suffered 325 damage. CLARK ADMITS (Ceatlaaed From Pay Owe) Clank was taken to the county jail by sheriff Robert Shraluka. He will remain there while counsel is being secured for him. if convicted of the charges Clark faces a possible sentence of 10 years to life imprisonment. A formal plea will not be entered by the defendant until he has the advice of an attorney. Thursday Night Is Family Night At Pool Hubert Zerkel, Jr., supervisor of the city swimming pool, announced today that. Thursday night will be family night at the polo, rather than being restricted solely to adults. The change was made in order that Decatur residents with small children may be able to take advantage of the pool's facilities without the sometimes difficult chore of obtaining baby-sitters. Each Thursday night in the future will be family night at the pool, Zerkal said.
