stressed. June 27 the group plans an all-dtiy picnic at Pokagon state park near Angola. A committer to nominate offi<trs at the next meeting. July 8. was appointed by president Yoder. It consists of Marge and Jim Merriman. Bob Drew, and Gloria Koeneman. The annual election of officers will be held at the next regular meeting. July 8. Also appointed was a committee for the rural youth stand at the 4-H fair in Monroe in August. Members of this committee are Marilyn Kiefer, Bob Drew, Paul Busse. Barbara Kelley, and Marge Mid Jim Merriman. . The next district meeting will be July 18 in Huntington. During the club discussion, led by Legora Markle, the disposition of the money earned hy the rural youth boost at the 4-H club fair was discussed. It was decided that the money made, which last year’ amounted to nearly SBOO, would be left to the 4-H council. The rural youth treasury is reimbursed for the work done by its members in helping put up the tents at the fair, and members felt that this would be enough money fpr their treasury. Also discussed was the ownership of the 4-H fair grounds in Monroe. Members present felt that if possible the grounds should belong to the 4-H council, and not to the county. Guests present included Esther Sowards and Beulah Bertsch, of Adams county; Sally Michaels, Bill Kipfer. and Eugene Bieberslein, of Wells county: Meredith Speicher. Dan Slagle. Fred Cullar. Mary Hay. Judy Hay. Ethel Hoover and Irene Hoover, of Wabash county; and Lloyd Paul, Ned Simons. Jim Campbell. Lois Beaver, Ronald Beaver, and Janet Anderson of Huntington county. After the business meeting the group had refreshments and a square dance.
