Decatur FFA Team In Purdue Contest Judging Contest Is On At Purdue Decatur's entry in the annual F. F. A. crops judging contest at Purdue University competed this morning against 43 entries representing the best judging teams from each district of Indiana. William H. Journay, team coach, announced today. Results of the judging will not be made public until Friday. The four youths on Decatur’s team are Lisle Knittie, Jim Holt, Gerald Grote, and Marvin Grote. In March they won the county judging contest, in which 125 boys from six high school areas in Adams county took part.' Later at the district meet in Angola in April the team placed third out of 24 teams from the 12 counties represented. Although Decatur beat the Adams Central team in the county contest, two teams from each county appeared in the district meet, and Adams Central placed second. The best twentyfive percent in each district contest is eligible for the state contest. Both Adams Central and Decatur had entries today. Although there are four members on each team in the district, only the top three scores from each team will be used in computing the final scores for each entry.

The later, leaving early to return to Geneva after a few hours stay in Paris, said the meeting dealt only with military aspects of the Indo-Qhina problem. In Geneva. International News. Service learned that the Vietminh military terms for ending hostilities in northern Indo - China included French withdrawal from all but the Ranoi-Haiphong area of the Red RfVer Delta. Laniel’s chances of surviving Saturday's vote were dimmed considerably by dhe assembly’s adverse vote on the government’s test motion. That motion sought priority for a cabinet resolution expressing confidence in foreign minister Georges Bidault’s handling of the negotiations for an Indo-China peace at the Geneva conference. After its defeat, the assembly recessed for an hour and the cabinet went into special session. With President Rene Coty presiding, the cabinet authorized Laniel to seek a vote of confidence. Under parliamentary law, 24 hours must elapse after a confidence motion is requested before the vote can be held. ,K you have something to sell or rooms for rent, try a Democrat Want Ad.
