MRB. PAULINE HART HOSTESS FOR W. M. A. The regular monthly meeting of the W. M- A. of the Mt. Victory U. B. church was opened with prayer. Mrs. Pauline Hart was hostess, and the lesson of the month was on India. After songs were sung, Mrs. Hart reviewed the book, "The Man Who Disappeared.'* Scripture was then read by Mrs. Berniece Gray and prayers were offered. Dorothy Knittie read a potem after which Marcella Crozier, Vivian Knittie, Dorothy Miller, and Helen Miller read sketches on India. Mrs. Elizabeth Ensminger, accompariiedby Marcella Crozier on the accordion, sang “In the Secret of His Presence," Mrs. Eva Whittenbarger dismissed the group with prayer. The March meeting will he held at the home of Mrs. Elizabeth Ensminger. Bal) State Teachers college were Shirley Brandt, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dale Brandt, and June Harvey, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harold G. Harvey. Both girls are juniors at Monmouth high school. They were chosen from the entire group to twirl an ensemble at the Burris-New Castke and MuncieEvansville basketball games. They also were invited to participate in next year's event. MAGLEY WOMEN’S GUILD HOLDS FEBRUARY MEETING The February meeting of the iMagley Women’s guild was held recently in the church basement with IMrs. H. IE. Settlage as chairman. The meeting opened with a prelude <hy iMrs. Russell iMoser, followed with,, a poem by Mrs. Settlage. Two hymns were sung by the group, and Miss Amanda Worthman read the scripture. After prayer, led iby the Rev. H. E. Settlage, Mrs. Settlage presented the topic, entitled “Stewardship.” Prior to the showing of the film, “I Give iMyseK", Mrs. Leroy Kolter sang a solo. A graduate of the St. Joseph school of nursing, the bride-elect is employed as a surgical nurse at the Caylor-Nickel clinic in Bluffton. Avila, a graduate of Fort Wayne Central Catholic high school, attended Lbras college, Dubuque, la., and is now serving with the U. S. air force at Orlando, Fla. RURALISTIC STUDY CLUB ENTERTAINS HUSBANDS 1 Members of the Ruralistic Study club entertained their husbands Sunday evening at the home of Mrs. Fred Ulman with a earry-in dinner at six-thirty o’clock. "Progressive Pedro" was played during the entertaining evening and.prizes were awarded so Fred Ulman, Herman Geimer, Lawrence Beekmeyer, Mrs. Herman Geimer. Mrs. Joe Heimann, and Mrs. Lawrence Beekmeyer. MRS. DICK HELLER ENTERTAINS SORORITY The Associate Tri Kappa sorority met last evening with Mrs. Dick Heller. Mrs. Carl Gerber and Mrs. Fred Smith were assisting hostesses. After the business session, conducted by Miss Frances Dugan, bridge and canasta were played. Prizes were awarded to Mrs. Robert Holthouse and Miss Florence Haney. Amidst beautiful Valentine appointments. delicious refreshments were served. DICK REINDENBACH TO SING IN CONTEST Dick Reindenbach of Decatur will sing in a contest at Van Wert, 0. this evening. Miss Rheta Butcher will accompany him on the piano. groom's' parents. The bride appeared in a streetlength dress of delft iblue velveteen. She wore a rose in her hair and a corsage of Talisman roses. Mrs. Kenneth Worden attended her sister as matron of honor in a street-length dress of ping faille. Her corsage was an arrangement of white roses, and. she also wore a rose in her hair. Kenneth Worden, brother-in-law of the bride, served as best man. The new Mrs. Sprunger attended Adams Central high school, and the bridegroom attended Berne high school. T|ie couple will reside with the bride's parents. The Methodist Builders Class party will be held Saturday evening at eight o’clock at the church. Members are to note the change in date. Adams county chorus will hold a meeting at the Monroe school Monday evening at seven-thirty o'clock. Miss Joan Wemhoff will be hostess for Our Lady of Fatima discussion club Tuesday evening at eight o’clock. The Adams Central P. T. A. will meet at the gym in Monroe Monday evening at seven-thirty o’clock. The Rev. Stanley Peters will give devotions, and the eighth grade class of Monroe school will present a play, “Whkt America Means to Me.” A talk will also be given on Founder’s day. The junior class of Pleasant Mills high school will sponsor a bake sale at the Western Auto store in Decatur from nine o’clock to 12 o'clock Saturday tnolning. The D. A. V. auxiliary will meet at eight o’clock Thursday evening at the hall. This is a business meeting.
