The Decatur Yellow Jackets have th* toughest road, with three games on tap, two at heme and one on the road. The Jackets will entertain the NEIC leaders, the New Haven Bulldogs, at the Decatur gym Tuesday night, host the tough Portland Panther* here Friday night, and travel to Winchester Saturday night to a tilt with another brand of Yellow Jackets. Four other games on tap Tuesday are: Berne at Bluffton, Pleasant Mills at Monmouth, Petroleum at Hartford and Jefferson at Madison. —oOo— The Decatur Commodores will engage in the lone Wednesday night battle, hosting th* —Adam* —Central Grayhounds at the Decatur gym. These teams mot twice pre-' viously, both at the new Adams Central gym, the Greyhounds winning a rgeular season contest, 54-53, and the Commodore* registering a 5250 triumph in the semi-finals of the county tourney. It will also mark the last home game of the season for the Commodore*. —oOqAll nine of the county teams will be in action Friday night. In addition to the Portland-Yellow Jackets game at Decatur, the Commodores will be at Pleasant Mills, Adams Central at Monmouth. Jefferson vs Willshire at Geneva, Berne at Montpelier, Geneva at Albany and Hartford at Roll. The lone Saturday night game sends the Yellow Jackets to Winchester. Looks like the Berne Bears are tuning up for the sectional. The Bears, who had won only three games previously, Saturday night knocked off the Wells county champion Ossian bears in an overtime battle to register Berne's fourth victory of the season and also snap a seven-game losing streak. And only the previous week, the Bears forced the sectional champion Monmouth Eagles to the limit before losing by a single point. Larry Hannl, of Geneva, maintaining his torrid scoring pace, zoomed his season's mark to an even 400 points last week, an average of 81.1 points per game, to just about sew up the individual scoring title for the season.
