clubs, as Tri Kappa, Phi lota, and any number of the various organizations and associations of qlubs in Decatur. Perhaps in the past we have not given them due credit, but nevertheless, we have appreciated their valuable assistance and donations. i We have received comments from individuals, organizations, and club members that they do. not really believe so many of these conditions exist in our city. We do not expect any of you to take our word for any of this, but we would like for you to ask for one volunteer or more if you prefer to accompany any of our members on their tour of Investigation of these families or to deliver their Christmas boxes to them. We plan to make our deliveries from the fire station on Wednesday night, Dec. 23 and each and every one of you Is more /than welcome to come along with us while we pack our boxes or to help with their deliveries. In-concluding with the purpose of this article, may I ask each reader one question. “To whom would you turn if your home were suddenly gutted by ftfe, or flood—your neighbors —of course you would, because they are ‘Good Fellows’.” That is the point I’m trying to put across to you. None of us knows when something of that nature might happen to us, and when and if it did, we would surely like to know that there was someone right here in Decatur to whbm we could turn. These unfortunate and deserving families for the most part cannot help the fact that they are victims of circumstance, no more than you or 1. So come on all of you “dig a little deeper and let’s all of you, be ‘Good Fellows’ in ’53.” NOTICK The undersigned will pell kt public auction one 1953 Dodge motor no.
