LOCAL COUPLE MARRIED RECENTLY Exchanging nuptial vows at sixthirty o’clock November 20 were Miss Erma Lue Fortney and Kenneth Funic son of Mr. and Mrs. Clark Funk of Monroe. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Fortney of near Decatur. The Rev. Floyd E. Cole of Cincinnati, 0., uncle of the bride, officiated at the double-ring ceremony which took place in the Church of the Nazarene. Mrs. Floyd Cole presented the musicale. E. the follow* ing Christmas program was enjoyed by the Women’s guild of the Zion \ Evangelical and Reformed ehurch Tuesday evening: "Shooting Stars? and "Christmas Chimes,” a piano solo by Jerry Kaehr; “Tiniest Angel,” iSecited by Elaine Weidler who was, accompanied byMrs. Adolph Weidler; "Christmas Legend," by Mrs. William Feller; medley qf Christmas carols, a piano solo by-Harold Weidler; and “Holy Is’ight” and “Adeste Fidelis,” piano duet by Mrs. Edgar.. Gerber yand Mrs. Harold Murphy. The program was arranged by Mrs. Edward Miller, who also presided during the business session. Gifts were exchanged, and de-licious.-refreshments were served by the Mesdames A. R. Ashbaucher, Albert Harlow, Phyllis Houk, Henry Hirschy, Fred Heuer, Herman Haugk, and Harold Hoffman. Mrs. George Sprague will be hostess Tuesday at twelve-thirty, o’clock for the Rose Garden club’s Christmas potluck dinner. .Each member is to bring a covered dish and a S(T-cent gift for the exchange. Officers will furnish the meat, rolls, and coffee. The Union E. U. B. Friendship class party will be held Sunday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Leland ’Ripley. A potluck dinner will be served at noon- with each family bringing their own table service and a covered dish. The class will furnish the turkey. The Pocohan.as lodge will sponsor a Christmas party Monday evening at six-thirty o'clock -it the home of Mrs. Robert Withan; 429 Line street.
