Full Farm Parity Pledged By Benson Secretary Declares Views 'Distorted' CHICAGO UP — Secretary of agriculture Ezra Taft Benson Monday pledged the Eisenhower administration to work for full farm parity and hinted its new agricultural policies will follow establish-, ed principles. In a speech before the national 4-H club congress, attended by some 1,900 farm youths and their leaders, Benson said that perhaps his views “have been deliberately distorted for political purposes.” The secretary said he apparently has been “misunderstood” by critics of the new administration. Benson repeated past statements that there is only one administration farm policy —that of President Eisenhower, “which I fully support.” \ “It is that the present laws oe fully implemented, that improvements in these laws be sought, and that these improvements be aimed at attaining full parity of farm prices,” he said.
