Spartans Edge Adams Central In Overtime The Pleasant Mills Spartans and . the Adams Central Greyhounds staged the county’s top thriller Tuesday night at the Pleasant Mills gym, with the Spartans edging out a 65-62 victory : after an overtime battle. The game was a close one all the way. The teams were tied at the first quarter, 18-18. and at the half, 30-30. The Spartjans took a advantage at the third period. but the Greyhounds fought back to a 58-58 tie at the expiration of the regular playing time. In the overtime, Pleasaht Mills outscored Adams Central, 7-4, for the Spartans’, triumph. . iwo players stood out offensively for their quintets; Leon; Byer' counting 20 points and Jack Bebout 1 6for Pleasant Mills, Al bert Egly 20 points and Lester Egly 18 for Adams Central. Gorillas Lose To Bryant By 77-69 Score Thp Bryant Owls defeated the Hartford Gorillas, 77-69, in a highscoring battle Tuesday night at the gym. ’ \ ,\ Bryant led at all stapping points, 15-18, 38-29 and 56-43.
