JUNIOR WOMEN MEET MONDAY EVENING Miss Alice Ann Beinekte was hostess for Junior Women 'of the Decatur Woman’s club Monday evening. The meeting was opened by repeating the club collect. During the business meeting the members decided to bold a party for a Brownie troop, with Mrs. Fred Soldner as sponsor. It was also agreed to give Christmas gifts to the Good Fellows club. Mrs. Harry i. 'Houk, Miss Jean Stellar, Miss Marjorie Blocker, and Mrs. Floyd Rue were appointed to prepare a sunshine basket for Miss Sandra Hiles, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Hiles, who has been hospitalised. The meeting was then turned o er to Miss Shirley Fuelling, program ehairman. Miss Trisel, a graduate of Willshire, 0., high school, will receive her diploma from Warner’s beauty school, Fort 'Wayne, this month and thpn will be' employed at the Wolf and Dessauer beauty salon. Her fiance graduated from Pleasant Mills high school and is now employed at the Farm Bureau Coop Implement store in Celina, O. GIRL SCOUT TROOPS SELLING CALENDARS Ten Girl Scout troops are now taking orders for their calendars. The calendars will be delivered "two weeks after the order is taken, and the purchaser is to pay 25c upon delivery. This year the pictures are especially attractive and suitable for framing. The Pleasant Mills Methodist W. S- C. S. will sponsor a Thanksgiving supper November 24 from four-thirty o’clock until seven o’clock at the church. The Catholic Ladies of Columbia will conduct an initiation at the K. of C. hall Sunday afternoon at two-thirty o’clock. Candidates from Van Wert, 0., and Decatur will be initiated, with a banquet following. Deßolf Miss Audrey Evelyn Egley became the bride of David Lee DeBolt Saturday, October 17, at four o’clock in the Wood Chapel Evangelical United Brethren church with the Rev. Albert Straley officiating. Nuptial music was presented by Mrs. Donald Brown, pianist, and Dwight Cooper, vocalist. \ »• The bride is the eldest daughter of Mr. an dMrs. Glen Egley, Ohio City, 0., and parents of the bridegroom are Mr. and Mrs. Roy DeBolt. Candelabra,' palms, and beauty vases .of white chysanthemums formed a background for the serv T ice, and white satin bows marked the pews. \ i The bride wore a gown of lace-over-taffeta designed with a V neckline and cap sleeves. The front of the bodice was decorated with tiny rhinestone buttons. She wore white lace mitts, and a coronet of pearl orange blossoms held her veil of tulle. She carried a white Bible, a gift of the groom, topped with red roses and white satin streamers. Miss Mary Joan Northup was the bride’s only attendant. She \ ? Each family is to bring two dishes and their own table service. Officers will be nominated and the meeting is open to any non-members. Adams county chorus will rehearse at the Monroe school Monday evening at seven-thirty o'clock. New Probate Code Explained To Bar Members of the Adams county bar association met at 1:30 o’clock this afternoon in the library of the Adams circuit court and heard Ferd L. Litterer, bar association member, explain “The new probate code.” The new code will become effective January 1, and the Decatur attorney has spent a long time studying the newly adopted set-up.
