Third-rated Bayior was picked by 13 points over Texas Christina, and fourth-ranked Southern California by 13 over Oregon. In the nationally-televised ‘\gane of the day,” a big intei-seiftion:-l test, Minnesota was quoted a Ipoint pick over Pittsburgh. Rocky Castellani Seeks Title Bout > 'CLEVELAND, UP — Christmas still is nearly two months away, but manager Al Nieman said today he already knows what he wants to get his middleweight protege, Rocky Castellani, for a present. 4 “A shot at the title—that's what we want,” Nieman said. "When Bobo Olson puts it on the block, we 'want to be the first ones there. Rocky deserves it.” Castellani, ranked third among tlie country's 160-pounders, earned Nieman's ambitions Wednesday night with an impressive, unanimous decision over Mickey Laurent of France. In the lop-sided, nationally televised and broadcast bout, every scorecard gave Castellani, a Clevelander, at least 8 of the 10 rounds. ‘ißocky looks better every fight,” Nieman said afterwards. “He’s changed his etyle now. He’s more* aggressive.” There was no room for argument that Castellani looked good against the bobbing, weaving and, at times, awkward; Laurent. Two of tWe officials, in fact, did not vote the Frenchman, a single round. ; Protecting his head with both gloves held high in a style used by t many French ring warriors, Laurent kept plodding forward throughout the 10 heats but always waited for Castellani to lead. Rocky invariably connected with a leading left or brought up a looping uppercut that stopped the Frenchman's slow advance. Knightstown Man Drowning Victim I SEYMOUR. Ind., UP — Paul E. Shipley, 55, Knightstown, drowned in White River east of Medora Wednesday while fishing. Police said he apparently suffered a heart attack and Ml into the water.
