Msgr. Charles Girardat solerfffalzed the ceremony Saturday morning at dine o’clock in the St. Jude’s Catholic church. Fort Wayne. Miss Catherine Ulman and George Scheiner attended the couple. Miss Ulman is employed at the Adams county memorial hospital and Scheiner is engaged in farming. MISS DIXIE BROWN HONORED THURSDAY EVENING Miss Dixie Brown was honored Thursday evening with a miscellaneous shower! Miss Naureeft Miller and Miss Julia Schultz were hostesses at the former’s home. The guest of honor receievd a lovely corsage of chrysanthemums •upon her arrival. The table was beautifully decorated with miniature dolls —a bride, a groom, and three-attendants which were attired in the colors chosen by the bride-elect for her weeding. Games were played, and prizes won then were presented to Miss Brown. Mrs. Flossie Brandyberry will attend as a delegate: the president, Mrs. Irene Winteregg, will also attend. The president reminded the group that this Sunday is to be the National Temperance Sunday. Later, subscriptions were itaken for the "Union Signal" magazine. Included on the program by Mrs. Brandyberry were the lesion, “The American Way” and a report from the “Union Signal”. Forty Hours Closes Here Sunday Night Devotion Is Closed In Religious Rites qJ impressive religious rites marked the close of Forty Hours devotion at St. Mary’s Catholic church Sunday evening, an overflow of worshipers attending the service. > Five visiting Monsignori and 3> priests from nearby parishes marched in the solemn procession with the Blessed Sacrament. The Very Rev. Msgr. J. J. Seimetz pastor, the Rev. Robert Contanl, assistant, and the Rev. J. Hamine. C. P. P. S., of St. Charles Semin ary, Carthegenia, Ohio, who preached at services during the Forty Hours, the altar boys, the choir and school children completed the procession. \, The Rev. Hamme gave his concluding sermon on the Blessed Sacrament. Celebrant at benediction of the Blessed Sacrament was the Rev. Ambrose Heiman, C. P. P. S., of St. Charles Seminary; the Rev. D. Dennihan, deacon and the Rev. William Hodde, subdeacon. The devotions opened Friday morning and were largely attended by members of the congregation. Holy Communion was received by members of the parish at the four Sunday masses, which started at 6 and concluded with a high mass at 10:15 a.m. Monsignori attending the devotions last evening were the lit. Charge Ex-Local Man With Leaving Scene James Clokson, 23, a former resident of 121 North Third street, is back in the hands of Fort Wayne police on a warrant alleging him to have left the scene of an accident in Fort Wayne on October 10.' Craig, area conservationist from Albion, gave a lecture to a biology class of Decatur high school last week on trees, it was reported. Craig’s key points of discussion were the types of branching and identifying characteristics of trees found in the state. He also gave Interesting historical and geographical data about native trees.
