The repbrt, “Chinese Church at Work” was gi|ven by Mrs. Omer Merriman apd Mrs. Robert Folk. After the leader spoke on “No Short Cuts tp a Christian World,” the prograiti was dismissed by Mrs. Merriman. A short business meeting was conducted and then closed by Mfs|. C. O. HOME EC. CLUB ELECTS OFFICERS \ The Sunny Circle Home Economics club recently met at the Preble recreation center. The meeting was opened by the president and the song of the month was sung by the group. The roll was called by answering the question. “What is My Favorite Month of the Year.” There were twentysix people present. Election of officers was held and the following w’pre elected: Mrs. Pearl Goldner, president;' Mrs. William Kreutzman, vite-president; Mrs. Jaunita Mankey, secretary; Mrs. Elsie Peters, treasurer; Mrs. Bertha Koeneman and Mrs. Erene Brunch leaders. MISSIONARY SOCIETY CONDUCTS MEETING Mrs; Herbert Hawkins entertained at her home fourteen members of the Missionary society of the Church of God. The devotions were -under the leadership of Mrs. Cal Peterson and Mrs. Emery Hawkins. Mrs. Guy Agler gaV® an interesting account about Spanisn speaking people. Mrs. Ralph Hawkins, Mrs. Charles Frank, Mrs. Elmer Scott, and Mrs. Emery Hawkins then told the group about their \yarious experiences with the Spanish people. Mrs. Mary Hazlewood also .gave an interesting story concerning the subject. A business meeting followed witn Mrs. Hazelwood in charge. The group was dismissed after a prayer by Mrs. Neucomb. A social hour was enjoyed, and refreshments were served by the hostess in.keeping with a Halloween theme ? ’ * The Historical 'club will meet with Mrs. Wilson Beery. Wednesday at 2:30 p. m. Fashion Show Here On Tuesday Night Hold Fashion Show \ At Schoofs Gym A “minor league” fashion show replete with entertainment and subscribed to by virtually every clothing merchant in the city will hold fosth in its finest fettle Tuesday night at 8 o’clock at the Decatur high gymnasium. The program is to be narrated by Miss Joan Wemhoff; Local talent includes Dick Reidenbach, popular vocalist who will do his stuff to the accompaniment of Decatur high music, director Miss Helen Haubola. The Decatur high bqys quartet will! be- in evidence in the persons of Bill Ditto. Jim Rowley, David Em bier, Jr., and Bob Sprague. The showing of the children’s clothes will be accompanied by •accordionist Miss Ann Arnold. The annual display will also be graced with the talents of the Decatur Catholic high girls’ chorus, membered by Mary Theresa Miller, Marlene Miller, Rita Rumschlag, Gretchen Zintsmaster, Monica Rumschlag and Angele Jauregui, with Miss Ann Ehinger the accompanist. Joann York will perform a onemain comedy routine. Music throughout the shaw will be provided by Miss Rita Rumschlag, the nuidels to include, in addition to those previously announced.
