What has happened to the good old days when lover’s quarrels were made up of much shouting, pouting, an occasional black eye and a.spot of target practice with a rolling pin? We’re refnjnded, of course, of a news item telling of a costly and rather unique lover’s duel between an irate couple Using a pair of automobiles as weapons. According to the constabulary*; the spiteful pair ignored suchl general practices 'as facedapping and a mutual exchange of insults pnd went to work frorii behind the wheels of two autos. After much banging, slamming and grinding of metal- which reduced the vehicles to shambles, the unhappy couple was trotted off to the pokey to meditate on the old saying that “true love never runs smooth." A With this in mind, friends, it might be wise if a bout with your spouse is in the offing, to padlock the garage door. And it would also be wise to visit the\ DECATUR GIFT CEJJTRR frequently and avoid a bout with your spouse. The value of little surprises can’t be overestimated ... a gift when these ISN'T a special occasion really pays dividends. Whether you come to Buy or Browse you’re always welcome at. 164 S.
