Sorority Sponsors Style Show Oct. 13 Delta Theta Tau To Sponsor Style Show Delta Theta Tau sorority will sponsor a style show at the Decatur high school auditorium Tuesday night, October 13, at 8 o’clock, it was announced today by members of the local group, Every ready-to-wear store in Decatur will cooperate in this year’s show-, Mrs. Al Schneider, chairman of the show', reported. Local person will model and styles for men, women and children will be included, Mrs. Schneider announced. Tickets, selling for 65 cents Tor adults, are on sale and may! be purchased from any member of Delta Theta Tau or at the door on the night of the show, the ticket committee announced. Proceeds from the affair will be placed in the local sorority’s charity fund, members said. The models will wear the latest in fall and winter fashions. Children under 12 years of age will be admitted free, which is open to the -general public. Work Continues On Remodeling Building Gas and Water line connections to the Zwick building on North Second street were being made today. The excavations in the street were the first to be made "since Second street was resurfaced last summer. The Northern Indiana Public Service Co., is transfering its service connection for the Miller and Zwick building and will tunnel under the street in bringing the gas line from the east to the west side of the street A small four-foot cutin was made for this purpose. , \ Crews of the city water department are replacing the water line in front of the north room of the building which Will be occupied by the Zwick store. Remodeling of the building is expected to be completed for occupancy of the newly remodeled business rooms by Nov. 1. \ ■ , —X _ . Audubon Screen 1 Tours Planned At Fort Wayne Audubon Screen Tours, featuring personal appearances by five American naturalists, will be Presented in Fort Wayne this season it is announced by Robert G. Statz president of the Stockbridge chapter, Indiana Audubon society. The series, which is sponsored in cooperation with Purdue University center as a non-credit course and the National Audubon society, will be inaugurated on October 7, when Walter H. Schackelton, Louisville, Ky. presents his film, ’’Oddities in Nature.” It will be given.at the Purdue University center auditorium,' Jefferson at Barr streets, beginning at 8 Other irrograms scheduled for the season are Dec. 3, Robert C. Hermes, “Once Upon an Island” Jan. 7, Ernest P. Edwards, ‘Xand of the Scarlet Macaw,” Feb J 18; ‘ck Bird, “Newfoundland,” Apr. 29, Tom and Arlene Hadley, ’tAmerica the Beautiful.” Information concerning admission to the series may be obtained from Mrs. Herbert.
