DISTRICT FEDERATION OF CLUBS MEETS The 46th annual convention of the eighth district Indiana Federation of Clubs was held Tuesday at Ball State college, Muncie. Mrs. R. C. Hersh, Decatur, was elected president' of the district and Mrs. Roy Friedley, Decatur, corresponding secretary. During the morning session, Mrs. E. W. They develop talents and confidence. One of the projects for this is th© restoration of Independence hajl, Philadelphia. Clubs will raise money for the restoration. The American Can company has furnished savings banks for this project. The work of the Heart Foundation was explained. A memorial may be made to the fund: any amount of one dollar or more will be accepted and a memorial card Will be pent to the family to be remembered. CONDUCTS FIRST SESSION evening the Adams Central PTA met in the high school gymnasium witfi Martin Steiner, the president, conducting the meeting; The Rev. Harley Shady, Preble, gave the devotions: and Mrs. Ralph Johnson spoke about the mental health program. Later an offering of $48.55 was collected. The teaching staff of the school 'was then introduced by the principal, John Reed. During l the remainder of the! evening, a “getacquainted” program was enjoyed. At this time the school's, seniors sold homemade ice cream, cake, and, pie. Members or Delta Lambda and' XiLAlpha Xi Exemplai 1 chapters of Beta Sigiha Phi sorority enjoyed a potluck supper at the Boy Scout cabin at Hanna-Nuttman park last Mrs. James Kane, Delta Lambda president, and Mrs. Robert Laiie, Xi Mlpha Xi Exemplar president, acted as hostesses. A social Evening was enjoyed with the plkying of canasta. Prizes were awarded to Mrs. Clarence Ziner and Mrs. Glen Hill. A missionary pageant play will be presented by the young people of the Westminster Fellowship for the Women’s Association of the Presbyterian church this evening at eight o’clock. The play called “Ever the Frontier” Includes scenes from western reserve 1825, from Qregon 1836, from Alaska 1878 and a final scene from the Christian Service center in Puerto Rico. A bake sale, sponsored by the F. H. A. of the Decatur high school, will be held at the city hall Saturday from eight o’clock until twelve o’clock. FILM Left Today.
