Upon her arrival, Miss Gause was presented with a corsage of yellow roses. Various games were played during the evening and prizes won. by Miss Jackie Hite, Mary Ann Swearingen and Mrs. Harry Hebble, who in turn presented them to the honored guest. The song was later sunk by the fcroup, after which the duh creed was given in unison. } t Plans were then made for the 4-H fair and -the August meeting, which will be a picnic at the home of Mrs. Qka Geiser, near Liberty Center. Devotionals were given by Mrs. Gaylord - Weaver and prayer offered by Mrs. Clifford Essex. The ‘‘Outdoor Cookery,” was given by -Mrs, DoVle Hoffman. Using an outdoor oven she showed how to makd a fire and demonstrated various ways of roasting wieners, marshmallows, tomatoes, oniohs and meats. A skit of a oneact circus was then given by Mrs. Gaylord Weaier, l the clown, Mrs. Eliza Hahnert, animal trainer, and Mrs. LaiSure, tiger. Hostesses fbr the meeting were Mrs. Laifcure. Mrs. Gaylofd Weaver and Mrs. feliza Hahnert. The Supny Circle Home Economics club will meet Tuesday evening at eight o’clock at the Preble recreation center. The Flo Khn Sunshine council will meet at four o’clock Monday evening at the K. of P. home. A swimming paHy will follow the meeting. Rosemarie Kohne Married Today In Church Ceremony Miss Rosemarie Kohne became the bride of Liguori A. O'Donnell, Jr., .of Gary, this morning at ten o’clock in St. Mary's Catholic church. The bride is the daughter of IJfr. and Mrs. Raymond B. Kohne, 327 Mercer avenue, and the bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Liguori A. O’Donnell of Gary. The Rev. Robert P. O'Donnell, brother of the groom, performed the ceremony uniting them in marriage. i A musicale by Sr. M. Patricia preceded the ceremony. The men’s choir sang the nuptial high mass. The bride, given in by her father, wore a white satin bridal gown, with a bateau neckline and sleeves, both edged with a scallop of rose point lace. The full circular skirt was fashioned with narrow satin panniers over lace which cascaded driwn the sides and fell into a chapel length train. Rosepoint mitts tapered to points over her hands. Her fingertip veil was held by a Juliet cap of rosepoint lace, jstudded with pearls, and she carried a crescent-shaped bouquet of stephanotis and white orchids. Mrs. Joseph Barbieri, sister of the bride, attended as matron-of-honor, and bridesmaids were Mrs. Robert Kohne, sister-in-law of the bride, and Miss Dorothy Kphne, cousin of the bride. The matron-of-honor wore a pale yellow spun silk; ballet-length dress, which featured -pearl and sequin trimming, and wore yellow matching slippers. She wore a tiaria of tiny white flowers and carried a bouquet of yellow Talismati roses. The bridesmaids wore identical goynei but carried bouquets of shades of yellow roses. Thomas O'Donnell of Chicago, served his brother as best man. William S. of Naperville, 111., also brother of the groom. Jack Young of South Bend, and Thomas Bosse ushered the guests to their pews, which were marked with white satin bows and gladioli. For her daughter’s wedding, Mrs. Kohne ..chose a grey lace dress and >wore a navy blue 'velvet hat and navy accessories. Her corsage was of deep purple orchids. . - The groom’s mother was'attired in a gown of rose combination crepe and lace, and a lilac (hatj. Her corsage was of purple ,or-\ chids. Immediately following the ceremony. a breakfast was served at the American Legion home fdr out-of-town guests and the bridal party. The U-sl aped table was beautifully decorated with low spreading bouquets of white and yellow gladioli and mums. ■ ~ . For her wedding .trip, the bride chose a two-piece of light grey wool, with linpn trim, a grey felt hat and grey accessories. She will wear a corsage of orchids from her bridal bouquet. The bride was graduated from Decatur Catholic high school and St. Mary’s college, Notre Dame. She has done graduate work at Indiana and Northwestern universities and has been a tdacher in the Gary public schools. Mr. O'Donnell was graduated from Horace Mann high school, Gary, and the University of Notre Dame. He received his master’s degree from Loyola university. J i ; The training period officially starts at midnight tonight, with Sunday devoted to unloading and organizational work. 16,709 Patients In Mental Institutions INDIANAPOLIS, UP—lndiana’s 11 mental institutions had 16,709 patients at the end of last month, an increase of 27 over the previous month. Dr. Margaret Morgan, ' state mental health commissioner, said civil hospitals housed patients. Plans, for a street fair at Win Chester this year have been abandoned, when the state highway department notified them they could not use the highways under a ruling recently made. Marine Reserves In Field Training Three Decatur young men who serVed together in Korea and recently joined the U. S. marine corps left today for two weeki field training at-the naval amphibious base at Little Creek. Va. > The veterans} are sergeants, in the reserve unit. They are: Edward A. McCullough, Richard I Peterson and DeLane S. bowman. Enlisting in the marines In 1950, the three meq were sent to Korea in 1951 and served in that war zone until March. 1952. Continuing their comradeship, all three are now employed at the Casad engineering depot at New Haven. They wi|l resume their jobs after the two weeks of field training. . . ■ • .
