DEMONSTRATION CLUB MEETS WEDNESDAY A picnic supper was enjoyed by members of the Decatur Home Demonstration club and their families Wednesday evening at Hanna-Nuttman park. Following tbe meal, a short business meeting was conducted and plans made for the camp to be held August 14 to the 17 inclusive. Any member desiring to go, is asked to. contact Mrs. Bert Haley as soon as possible. Several games •were played and climaxed the em. joyable evening. CHARLES KAEHR TO WED DOROTHY WINSELER Charles Kaehr, son of Mr. and Mrs. Sam Kaehr of route 4, will marry Miss Dorothy Winseler, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Elias Winseler of New Haven, according to an announcement made today by the bride-elect's parents. Miss Finseler graduated from Wopdburn high school and International Business college in Fort Wayne. She is an employe of the -International ' Harvester company. The groom-elect attended Kirkland high school and is engaged in farming. The couple have planned a summer wedding. W. C. T. U. MEETS FOR REGULAR SESSION The Methodist church Wesley room was the scene of the recent meeting of the Women’s Christian Temperahce Union.,-with the meeting beginning -with the hymn, “Blest Be the Tie that Binds.” Mrs. Ora Gilpen bad Charge of devotions using Psalm 1 and a meditation. A brief, review of .some recent articles from the Christian Advocate was given! by Mrs. Niblick, followed with discussion. Election of officers took place during the evening with the following results; president. Mrs. Niblick; vice-president, Mrs. Lloyd Ruse; re-elected treasurer Mrs. Frank Bohnke. and recording secretary, Mrs. Gray. Plans were discussed for the regional rally to be held at Hartford City. July 24. Light refreshments were served, closing the session.

MT. VICTORY W. M. A. MEETS RECENTLY The July ineeting of the Mt. Victory United Brethren church W. M. A. was held with Mrs. Cal-ey Knittie. Marjorie Knittie gave the call to worship followed with a song. Helen Miller, Pauline Hart. Marie lambert, Fairy Cress and Marcella Crozier gave scripture. Mrs. Elizabeth Ensminger sang, a solo, entit ejd “Have Thy Own Way.” Ida Crozier offered prayer as did Eva AVhittenbarger, and Dorothy Mill ?r headed the prayer band. During a buzz session, each member was dsked to write to a missionary that was serving in Africa. Thei president, Mrs. Berniece Gray, was in charge of this part of the program. A poem, "Too Busy” was given by Vivian Kiiittle followed with a hymn, “O Master Let Me Walk With Thee." The president directed the business session and fourteen members answered roll call. Five. children were also present. A silent auction closed the meeting, after a [prayer offered by Eva Whittenbargeri L A joint, pieme will be held by the two evening circles of the Presbyterian church, the Ruth and Naomi circles. Wednesday evening at Hanna Nuttman park at six thirty o’clock. All members are asked to bring a covered dish.

Leo Yager; chairman of the board for the Citizens, Telephone company and one of'the oldest and best knpwn business men of the community, ioday observed his 88th (birthday. He is confined to his home on South Second street but manages to get out on- the front porch each day this warm weather and expects to observe his 9011: milestone in a icouple of years. Police Guard Office Os Indiana Doctor Seeking Cause Os Mysterious Blast CHESTERTON. Ind. UP —State fire marshal’s investigators entered a police-guarded office of a physician today to hunt the cause of a piysterious explosion and fire. State police, whq guarded the Structure during the nigh* and refused entry to newsmen, said evidence found jat the scei\e indb rated the fire Wednesday after* noon “was of incendiary origin.”l The explosion and resultant fire, caused an estimated SI,OOO dam*, age to the offices of Drs.
