Following a short wedding trip, the couple are now at home in Willshire, Ohio. ST. PETER LADIES AID CELEBRATES ANNIVERSARY The Ladies Aid of St. Peter’s Lutheran church of Root township commemorated its fiftieth anniversary Shnday with a special service at the church. The Rev. Fred N. Droegemueller, pastor, preached on the text recorded in Acts chapter 9, verses 36-42. The pastor commended the women for the great part they played during the past half century and which they are stillj doing in contributing funds to carry on the work in the numerous charitable homes and sanitariums within the Missouri synod of the Lutheran church and also helping to maintain and beautify the local church and parochial school. The scene was beautifully decorated with numerous flower bouquets. At noon, a dinner was served to the members of the congregation and guests in the newly enlarged school. The group was organized in 1903 under the leadership of the pastor at that time, the Rev. Louis N. Dornseif. The two living charter members are Mrs. Louise Tie.man of Root township and Mrs. Flora Gerke of Fort Wayne. Letters of congratulations were acknowledged from Rev. and Mrs. Karl E. Hoffman and daughter, Rose Marie of Fort Morgan, Colo., the former a pastor at the church at one time and from Mr. and Mrs. Paul N. Dorn, Cleveland, Ohio. Dorn was a former teacher in the parochial school. . MISS KOHNE.TO BE HONORED WITH SHOWER Miss Rosemarie Kohne, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Raymond K. Kohne, of this city, will be honored with a shower Thursday evening by the Misses Sue Scanimules, Bes Chreson and Marion Armstrong, of Gary. Theater Will Aid Jolly Kelly Fund Take Donations At Theater July 24-25 Cooperation of the Adams theater in soliciting funds in the Jolly Kelly campaign was pledged today by Roy Kalver, operator of Kalver theaters in this city. Cannisters will be placed in the lobby of the Adams on Friday and Saturday, July 24 and 25. and they will be attended by Decatur Girl Scouts.
