Solons Pleased At ,'f East Berlin Riots Seen As Indication Os Growing Unrest WASHINGTON, UP — Congressmen said Thursday the anti-Coip-munist riots in (East Berlin apparently indicate growing unrest behind the Iron Curtain and joined Sen. Mike Mansfield in hoping “it spreads like measles.” Administration officials said the outbreak of violence gave the west a propaganda trump card to combat the effects of the Kremlin’s’ massive peace offensive. Acting senate Republican leader William F. Knowland said in an interview that Iron Curtain unrest is "one 'big reason for the recent Communist concessions” on a truce in Korea. Sen. Alexander Wiley (R-Wis.), chairman of the senate foreign relations committee, made the same point. “The Communists may want i time and a breathing spell,” Know- ; land said. j Other legislators were inclined | to give some of the credit to U.
