IRENE KRUECKEBERG WEDS EUGENE KIESS >* Marriage vows were exchanged Tuesday evening by Miss Irene Kruckeberg and Eugene Kiess in the Immanuel Lutheran church northeast of Decatur. The Rev. W. C. Vetter officiated at the double ring vow-g, before an altar decorated with candelabra, palms and bouquets <jf mixed, flowers. A Mr. and Mrs. Gust Kruckeberg of near Decatur and Mr. and Mrs. Martin Kiess of route 2, are parents of the couple, A bridal gown of ivory satin with a sheer yoke and a ruffle detailing the hem and train was chosen by the bride. A fingertip veil of illusion was held in place with a small bonnet and she carried a Bible topped with a white orchid. Mrs. Gaylord Heine was her sister’s matron of honor in an orchid taffeta gown. Miss Barbara Ann Dressier, niece of the bride, bridesmaid, wore a yellow taffeta attire. Both attendants carried yellow carnation bouquets. Gaylord Heine served as best man and ushering was Melvin Krueckeberg. brother of the bride. —.The bride’s mother selected a pray sheer dress while the bridegrooms mother wore a navy blue sheer. Both chose white accessories and corsages of red roses. The couple greeted guests at a > reception at the home of tthe bride’s parents following the ceremony. For traveling, the oride changed to a red linen dress with white accessories. Mrs. Kiess will reside with her parents, while her husband serves with the army at Camp Chaffee. Ark. MRS. TROUTNER HOSTESS TO W. S. W. S. Mrs. Wayne Troutner os hostess Tuesday evening for the regular meeting of the Union Chapel church W. S. W. S. with Mrs. Robert Folk as the program leader. Group singing opened the session with the leader and Mrs. Earl Chase leading the group. Topic for the evening, “We have a stewardship to children and youth," was given by Mrs. Folk followed with scripture. Beautiful appointments of spring flowers, tall tapers and a lovely garden theme were used in the entertaining rooms. The dinner was served by the Women of the Moose. Miss Kay Alberson served as toastmistress and introduced the new officers, who were installed by Mrs. Ronald Parrish, the retiring president. New officers are as follows: president. SUNDAY SCHOOL PARTY HELD RECENTLY The Pleasant Mills Methodist Willing Workers Sunday school class party was held recently with Mr. and Mrs. Darrell Ulouse. The meeting opened with the vice-pres-ident. Roy Price in charge, after which devotions were givpn by Mrs. Price. Mrs. Harley Shady offered prayer and a song. “Tis so Sweet to Trust in Jesus” was sung by the group. Honored with birthday greetings were Mrs. Shady, Mrs. Carl Frey and Glenn Mann. U. its regular meeting in the Wesley room of the Methodist church re-? cently, with the program opening with the group singing “Where Cross the Crowded Ways of Life,” and “Holy, Holy, J Holy,” followed, by a prayer of confession. , Mrs. Faye Michel gave an Interesting and helpful lesson on Lamentations, 1-12, “It is nothing 4o you, all ye that pass by-—.” A short business session was conducted by Mrs, Niblick, followed by discussion for future plans and election of officers. Several members plan to attend the W- C. T, U. guest day at Winona lake, June 26. Light refreshments w’ere served at the close of the meeting.

Edward Host Dies At Home In Ohio > Mrs. John W, Tyndall received a telephone eall last evening, telling of the death of a cousin. Edward Host, 85, yesterday. He had visited here in his younger days. The funeral will he held Friday at Bowerston, Ohio where the Heller family originally lived. Mr. Host lived on the old farm where the late Judge Heller was reared. To Attend Christian Endeavor Convention Miss Esther Hirschy of near Monroe, will be a delegate at the 42nd international Christian Endeavor convention in Denver, Colorado, June 22-27. Miss Hirschy will be accompanied by Miss Wanna \Sell. Rockford, Ohio, Mrs. Alice Griffin, Michigan and Miss Oneta Sewell, a returned missionary from Africa.
