Army Worms Found In All Townships The varigated cutworm or so called army worm has been* found or reported from eivery township, states county agent L. E. Archhold. Unlike the ordinary cut worm, they do not cut the plants at the ground level. They i plimb •' the plant and eat the leaves/; They often eat the heart of the corn plant. They are night time feeders. They bury themselves in the ground during the difficult to spray for control in small grain or hay but infested corn should be sprayed with! dieldrin.
