An Inspection party consisting of the Adams county memorial hospital board, the county commissioners and hospital business jmanager Miss Blanch Krick, left ioday for LaGrange to inspect the LaGrange county : hospital, preparatory to filing a petition here tor a $400,W0 addition to the Adams county institution. ’ This was announced by hospital board president Cal Petersqn4 The party left here at 8 a.nj. and expects to spend most of the day out of the county to gd ? oven features that may have some bearing on the local picture. Supplementary questions designed to obtain some measure of the impact of the Korean conflict' on various types of \workers will be asked in the June current population survey, according to district supervisor Walter l/ Mitchell.. Jr.. of the bureau of the census field office at Fort Wayne. The questions will develop information on the number of men: w|io have seen military service since July 1, 1950, and whether or not these men worked for pay or it or did unpaid -work on a fdmity farm or in a family business, during the 12-month period pridr to entering service. The survey drill reveal also what kind of a job the veterans Worked at longest in the year prior to entering servlcp. The questions are in addition to the regular inquiries on employment and unemployment Which are asked each month in the; current population survey which is conducted on a sample basis locally and in 67 other areas throughout the country.
