MARGIE MENTER IS GIVEN BRIDAL SHOWER Miss (Margie tMentei, bride-elect of Sunday, was honored recently ■with a miscellaneous shower given by Mrs. William IE. Lehman and Mrs. Donald Haines at the latter's ■home. Upon the arrival of the guest o.’ honor, a lovely corsage was presented her. Varied colored bouquets of spring flowers decorated the entertaining rooms. The gift table was gayly decorated with a clever umbrella, under which gifts were placed. Many games were enjoyed with the various winners giving their i prizes to Miss Menter, who received many lovely gifts. ST. PAUL LADIES AID MEETS Members of St. Paul Ladies Aid met recently with Mrs. Perry Smith and Sadie Myers of Wayne dale. At noon, a pot-luck dinner was served and enjoyed. The meeting began following the dinner with the singing of the club song and prayer by Rev. Myers. Margaret Parrish sang the song “Silver Head" followed with Mary Railing reading Psalm IQI. Readings were then given by Faye Mary Nejreiter, Margaret Myers, and Rev. Myers. The meeting closed with each member telling her mother's favorite di.4h. Thirty one memberfc. five guests and twenty one children were present. TRINITY LADIES AID IN MEETING A regular meeting of the Trinity Ladies Aid society was held Thursday evening with Mrs. Hubert Gilpen. Mrs. William Hoffman and ' Mrs. Adam Kunowich as hostesses. The president, Mrs. William Strahm was in charge. Devotions were given by Mrs. Herman Sautbine, Mrs. Frank Bohnke and Mrs. R. O. Wynn. Mrs. Harry Brown and Mrs. David Wynn led in the singing. Twenty nine sick calls were reported and sixty cards mailed. The ladies turned in $26.50 from solieiations and $47.55 from the

Johnson, during thej social hour. The Rebekah Lodge will meet in Mie I. O. O. F. hall Tuesday evening at seven thirty o'clock for a regular meeting. A meeting of the Eagles Auxiliary will be held at the Eagles hall Tuesday evening at eight o’clock. Special entertainment will follow the installation of officers, for meinbers, husbands and sweethearts. Moose Lodge Awarded Trip To Moosehaven Adams Lodge 1311, Loyal Order of Moose, has been awarded a free, all-expense trip to Moosehaven, Jacksonville, Fla., for being one of the five lodges of the entire organization having the highest percentages of annual dues payers this year. A drawing was held at the Decatur lodge home, with Richard Jackson drawn to make the trip, which will be early next fall. Announcement has also been ■ made that the Legion of the Moose ' number 18, will hold plectipn of officers and initiation at the local home Saturday night. The five were convicted of forming a secret Fascist society with headquarters in Hagen and branch Offices scattered Jn towns through • the politically volatile Ruhr. Two others were acquitted. L German authorities said the Hitlerite cell was named “The Reich Movement" and was disguised under several other titles. Its membership, while smaill, included a number of former Nazi party leaders.
