SPRUNGER-NORTON VOWS READ RECENTLY Miss Marilyn Norton, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Chester Norton of <O7 Archer Avenue, Fort Wayne, became the bride of Edward F Sprunger, son of M< and Mrsi Martin F. Sprunger of near Decatur, in a double ring ceremony Wednesday afternoon. May 6. The Rev.- D. C. Elson read the vows in the Trinity Methodist church, after an organ musicale by Mrs. Paul S. King. A white linen suit with matching accessories was chosen by the bride for her marriage. She completed her attire with a corsage of orchids. Mrs. Robert Howey-, sister of the bride, was matron of honor. Robert Sprunger, West Lafayette, acted as best man for the groom. Mrs. Norton was present in a rose dres.s with white accessories and a white carnation corsage. A navy blue dress, white accessories and white earnations completed the ensemble of the groom’s mother. > Following a reception at the bride’s parents, the couple left for a wedding trip to Florida. They are now at home in Fort Wayne at 1302 Swinney Avenue. DEMONSTRATION CLUB MEETS WEDNESDAY Twenty one members of the Decatur Home Demonstration club answered roll call at the regular meeting Wednesday afternoon with Mrs. Manley Foreman. The meeting opened in usual form with the president. Mrs? Bert, Haley, presiding. S. , MEETS WEDNESDAY - Mrs. Lee Custer was hostess to the Pleasant Mills Methodist Women’s society of Christian Service, when the group held a regular meeting Wednesday evening. After the meeting, lovely refreshments were served tq fifteen members by the hostess assisted by Mrs. Murray Holloway, Mrs. Nissie Steele and Mrs. Dave Sovine. ' BRIDE-ELECT HONORED WITH SHOWER Miss Margaret Mailandi brideelect of June 6. was honored with a miscellaneous shower Thursday evening at the home of Mrs. William Tracey, in Fort Wayne. Games were played and prizes won by Mrs. Edward Casanova, Mrs. Frederick Fuelling and Miss Mary Heacock, who in turn presented’sthem to the guest of honor. Assisting the hostess in serving were Mrs. Bernard Haven and Mrs. Merle Sheets. Others present included the Mesdames Fred Kunkel, Rolland Gilliom, Charles Mailand, Ralph Rice, Miss Helen Krauss and Miss Betty Miller. Unable to be present were Mrs. Leslie Ohmit, Indianapolis and Miss Eloise Aumann, Fort Wayne. A business meeting will be held by the Emblem club Thursday evening at seven thirty o’clock at the Elks home, first floor, north room, and followed with a social hour. Initiation and memorial services will be held during the regular stated meeting of the Order of the Eastern Star Thursday evening at seven thirty o’clock in the Masonic «ni. . ; The Rebekah Lodge will have a regular meeting in the I.
