SOCIETY PRESBYTERIAN MARY CIRCLE MEETS Thursday afternoon, the May meeting of the Presbyteriap Mary ■Circle was held at the manse with Mrs. Ray J. Walther as hostess. Prayer began, the session and was offered by the hostess. Mrs. James L. Kocher, Sr., led the devotions, using the subject “What Does Christ Mean to You,” and read from a book by Dr. Fosdick. The Lord’s prayer was recited in unison and the afternoon leswith a most interesting review on the book, “Africans on'??Afari,” by Mrs. Edward Cook. A report of the recent Presbyterian meeting at- Goshen was given and a letter from Korea also read. A tea was announced fdr June 25 and in July a combined meeting of the Mary and Martha Circles will be held with a picnic following. The synodical meeting will

CHURCH OF GOD BANQUET HELD THURSDAY ,1 | Seventy five guests attended the annual mother-daughter* banquet Thursday evening |n tfte Church of God parsonage. Mrs* Frances Tallen, state president of the Women’s Missionary society and former missionary to the British West Indies, was the guest speaker. The banquet was served by candlelight, with the tables decorated in beautiful pastel shades. Each guest received a miniature May basket. Mrs. Edwin Call and Miss Virginia Taylor received femall potted plants as did several greatgrandmothers present. J Participating in the J program were Miss Gail Egley, Mffs. Robert
G. Strickler and Mrs. Many Hazelwood, president of the Decatur missionary society. Decorations were 1 ! in charge of Mrs. Elmer Scott, Mrs. Kenneth Watkins, Miss Norma Agler, Miss Joyce Irwin, Miss Caroline Strickler, Miss Virginia Tayter and Miss Casandra Strickler. The lesson will be on outdoor cookery. The group celebrated their 20th anniversary Wednesday in Fort Wayne visiting places. Mrs. Albert Beineke county president was a guest for the day. Twenty eight members enjoyed the occasion. Tri Kappa sorority will hold a mother and daughter banquet Tuesday evening at six thirty o’clock at the Zion Lutheran parish hall.
Members of Delta Theta Tau sorority will sponsor a concession at the Spring festival beginning Monday evening. All members are requested to help with the protect and to be present during the festival on these evenings by seven thirty o’clock. | The. Friendship Village club will meet at the Klmsey school Thursday afternoon at one thirty o’clock.
