Es/<£R BENTZ WEDS MIGHT EGLY TODAY v Wiss Esther Helen Bentz, daughA of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Bentz A 521 South Fifth street, was unit' *<i in marriage this morning to r Dwight Eugene Egly, son of Mrs, Elvin Egly of 115 Scheiman street and the late Mr. Egly. The Very Rev. Msgr. J. J. Seimetz officiated at the nuptial mass and double ring ceremony at nine o’clock in St. Mary’s Catholic; church. Palms and baskets of pink and white gladiolus beautified the altar. A musicale was presented by Sister M. Dominic and the girls . choir sang the St. Joan of Arc mass. Following the mass, the bride placed a bouquet at the altar of the Blessed Virgin, while the choir sang "On This Day Oh Beautiful Mother." ' _. White slipper satin was chosen Uy the bride for her marriage. The gown featured a sheer yoke and long sleeves tapering to points over her hands. The lace paneled skirt, which was very full, ended in a cathedral length train, and a beaded tiara held in place a two tiered silk illusion veil. The bridal bouquet was an arrangement of‘ white carnations centered with a single purple orchid. - Miss ' Marcile Bentz attended -her‘sister as maid of honor. She was attired in a mint green gown of net and taffeta. The bodice was strapless over which a tiny jacket with a .winged collar was worn. Miniature roses highlighted the , skirt and she wore a matching picture hat. A pink carnation bouquet completed her ensemble. A navy blue suit was selected k. ...

When the codple leave on a trip of unannounced destination, the bride will don a light blue shantung suit with red accessories. After a two weeks trip the couple will reside in this city at 842 North Thirteenth street. Mrs. Egly attended St. Joseph’s Catholic school and is an employe of the Bag Seryicepjy?. The groom graduated frbm .Decatur high school and is empibyed at the U. S. company, Fort Wayne. GIRL SCOUT LEADERS CLUB MEETS RECENTLY Twelve leaders and two guests were present for the recent meeting of the Girl Scout Leaders club, when the group met at the Decatur high school. Mrs. Bryon Smith was in charge of the session in the absence of Mrs. Lowell Harper. All leaders were urged to attend the association meeting at the Presbyterian church May 15. Mrs. Robert Railing announced she would hold a first aid course in the near future for all leaders and each woman was asked to turn all donations for the Little House in to Mrs. Ronald Parrish as soon as possible. Mrs. Harper appointed Mrs. Gerald Strickler, Mrs. Zane 'Musser and Mrs. Oliver Harmon to assist Mrs. Doyle Collier and: Mrs. Paul Hancher in making plans for the Little House. Brownie clamp will be held June 8-12 with a swimming party on Saturday and Girl Scout camp on June 15-19 with a swimming party that final Saturday also. Rules for the camp were given out by Mrs. Hancher. Girls- ‘who are not scouts are welcome to the camp if they abide by the rules, pay 10 cents a day and bring their own lunch. NEW OFFICERS NAMED BY EMBLEM CLUB A six thirty banquet was held Friday evening by the Emblem club with approximately fifty guests and meinbers present. President Lois Meyer welcomed the guests in the entertaining rooms which were colorfully outlined with spring flowers. ; All visiting officers were presented with corsages. Following the banquet, new officers were installed in the lodge rqom, with the president opening the session. Mrs. Helen Ca-lson, past supreme president from Akron, Ohio, installed the newly elected officers, and was assisted by Mrs. Sue Fullerton, supreme assistant marshall of Tiffin. Ohio. •Emblem clubs from Bluffton, Garrett and Ashland, Ohio, were represented. Supreme officers included Mrs. Rosamond Booth, supreme press correspondent, Bluffton, and Mrs. Virginia Frey, supreme district deputy of this city. A. of the Mt. Victory United Brethren church met recently for their monthly business meeting at the home of Mrs. Fairy Cress. Prayer began the session, and w’as given by the hostess? and Elizabeth Ensmlhger. An African proverb was the: topic for the evening. A hymn; was sung by Dorothy Miller; and; Ida Crozier gave prayer, followed with psalms given by Marie Lanibert and Helen Miller. Elizabeth ;Ensininger sang a solo number and Vivian Knittie gave a book report of David Livingston. Pauline Hart. Marcella Crozier Dorothy Lambejt, Berniece Gray and a visitor read sketches of Africa. Business was then taken care of. Delegates reported the branch meeting held recently. All those having a birthdayy from January to June were asked to bring a dollar to the June meeting to auction off. July will be the month for a ■white elephant sale and plans were made for an auction to help with the church remodeling.
