A. recently at the school, followed with , Mrs. Harley Shady giving the devotions and prayer for the evening. Mrs. Roy Price presented an interesting reading entitled “Be A Good Neighbor” and Raymond Ehrsam showed interesting pictures of Switzerland, during the business session, plans were made for the supper for the childrep and their parents May 1, the last day of school, beginning at seven o’clock. Election of officers was also held with the . following results :\ president, James Myers, vice-pres-ident, Elisha Merriman, secretary, Miflfo Velma Huser, and treasurer, Robert Light. The meeting 'opened with a moment of silent prayer, followed with the’group singing “Work for the Night is Coming.” ■Mjrs. Tony Meyers;' leader, read and’ offered prayer and followed this with an ■ interesting lessen on the Bible. She continued with advice on “what to do with our ddllar” and reviewed a few chapters from the book.

Governor Confirms Pension To Sayer } Craig's Assistant Draws $225 Monthly INDIANAPOLIS, UP—Governor Craig has confirmed tha| his administrative assistant, William E. Sayer, draws $225 monthly ain force disability pension and said he represented Sayeif in requesting the benefits. > \ Craig said he considered Sayer’s pension justified. He said Sayer suffered a facial nerve ailment after being struck while serving ( as an air force major at the University of Alabama. s Sayer had been rejected twice irk his pension bid before Craig tqok the case before air force b'idard. Sayer received* a $12,600 retroactive cash settlement when the monthly payments started. At that time, he was assistant national adjutant of the American Legion. The payments, in addition to Sayer’s $12,300 yearly state salary, were granted after Craig’s as\ national Legion commander ended. Craig said Sayer's nerve ailment, contracted when he was struck in the head. ' required an operation for correction. Thirty-seven menibers answered the roll call, “Give Your Mother's Given kame," The secretary's and reports were read and approved. Record books discussed apd distributed by Mrs.'Haugk. A demonstration on “How to Set a Table Cor= rectly” was given by Marlene Johnson, followed by “Ht»w to Fill Out a Record Book” by Barbara Carr. The special feature whs the initiation of new members. The secretary’s report was read and appPpved, and of 10 cents per meeting was voted on. Record books were handed out by the leaders and two movies were :enjoyed by the group.
