BERNARD KRUSES OBSERVE GOLDEN ANNIVERSARY Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Kruse ot route 4, observed their golden wedding anniversary Tuesday with a nuptial high mass read at nine o’clock by the Very Rev. Msgr. J. J. Seimetz in St. Mary’s Catholic \ church, during which time they repeated their nuptial vows. Open house was held from two until four o’clock that afternoon, and again that evening from eight until ten o’clock. i 'The couple have ten children: Mrs. Tillie Burgette of New Haven, Albert ot Los Angeles, Calif., John, Charles, Clarence and Walter of Fort Wayne, and Bill, Raymond. Decatur Youth Heads University Council John C. Thompson honored At Illinois John C. Thompsop, son ot Mr. and Mrs. Joseph J. Thompson, 235 S. First street, and a junior at Illinois University, has been installed as president of the intbrfraiternity council at the university. Active in campus organizations, Thompson is member of Phi Gamma Delta. He served as chairman o>f the DF public relations committee and on the judicial comVnittee. He also w-as a member of [the liberal arts and sciences council, t»he, fillo staff and aqtivehih the YIMCA. He wai publications chairman for the Phi Gams and was the representative to the national interfraternity council in New York last fall. He also served as co-chairman of the student senate public opinion research committee.
