Hold FFA Banquet Here This Evening Future farmers To Meet This Evening Decatur’s Future Fanners ot America will hold their fourth annual father and son banquet tonight and it is expected the program will be presented to more than 80 ipembers and guests of the FFA organization, it was announced today by an FFA spokesman. The banquet will be at the gym of Decatur high school with the dinner served at 6:30. The purpose of the event each year Is to honor those who have shown excellence in the projects of the FFA during the classes held throughout the winter. Toastmaster ot the evening will be the\ president of the FFA, Walter Lehrman. The invocation will be given by the Rev. W. C. Vetter, pastor of the Immanuel Lutheran church, Union township. Followtiig dinner W. Guy Brown, Decatur superintendent of schools will mark the occasion with remarks and then the awards will be presented by Decatur high’s vocational i' agriculture instructor and FFApleader, William H. Journay. Dinner will be provided by the “Dixie Land Band” with dinner music by Miss Carol Elzey. Two film showings will take up a large portion ot the evening’s doings. FFA officers, besides Lehrman, are: Allen Grote, vice president; Stanley Allison, secretary; (Russell Plumley, treasurer; Marvin Grote, reporter; Richard Marbach, sentinel; and (Russell Plumley, recreational leader.
