The honored guest received many love 1 - lv gifts. . , ■ The hostess, assisted by Miss Judy Myers served during a social hour to twentyfour guests. • ’• ■ 1 [CONVOY SENIOR CLASS |_ TO PRESENT PLAY ' Members of the senior class of Convoy, Ohio high school will pre'a three act play entitled “Mother is a Freshman” Friday and SatuMay evenings at eight o’clock in the junior high school auditorium. The play depicts ’ the life of a mother as a freshman at college and her daughter as a sophomore. Leading roles are portrayed by Joan Baker as the mother and Shirley Frane as the daughter. Other members of the cast include Imogene Saco, Tom May, Regina Pierce, Beverlygnne McDaniel, Rosalyn Fisher, Mary Pencake, Helen Book, Rosanna Purk, John Taylor, Lloyd Etzler, and Jim Clark. Miss Imogene Beihold Is play director. MRS. HAROLD ANDREWS SPEAKS TO WOMEN’S CLUBS A joint meeting of the Adams County Federation of Woman’s clubs and the Decatur Woman’s club° was held Monday, evening at the Zion Evangelical and Reformed church. Mrs. Roy Kai ver, president of the Woman’s club, presented Jack Lawson, Who set the theme of the program by singing two numbers, “The Blind Ploughman” and “Bless this House.” He was accompanied by Miss Carol Elzey. The collect was repeated and Mrs. Lowell Smith announced April 20 as the date of the United Nations Workshop to be held at the Zion Evangelical and Reformed church that afternoon land evening. Mrs. Kalver then introduced th© guest speaker, Mrs. Harold Andrews, professor of literature at Ashland college, Ashland, Ohio, who is a recognized authority on “Our Greatest Book, the Bible.” Mrs. Andrews thrilled all with her very beautiful explanation of the study and literary form of the Snap To Sew!
